| Flea med for a 4 month old puppy i'm really not sure what to use for Hailey. she's 4 months old. weighs 4 lbs. and i know i need to get something on her ASAP. i talked to her breeder. she said she uses Revolution because it comes in smaller sizes and works. but the problem with me is that i live in the heart of Deer Tick country. Revolution only protects against the Wood Tick. i also have K9 Advantix II at the house (used it on Kiva last year) but Hailey's so young i don't dare use it on her yet. so i was wondering maybe use the Revolution for a few months and then start with the Advantix later. what do you think? any thoughts? what did you use when yours were small pups?

| I use K9 Advantix II for my girls (approx. 3yrs, 6lbs) but use half of the tube on each. It states (as many of them do) that you can use on dogs "7 weeks and older", and most of the products lowest dosing is "up to 10lbs". That said, using 1/2 the tube would work for Hailey - if you feel comfortable doing so

| I used Advantix in the past but the vet is recommending Vecta 3D now. I started using it the last few months. However, I am only using a half a tube on each girl. (Vet doesn't know this. ) On the tube it says it is ok to use if over 7 weeks. My girls are a lot older than that. I am just stating what the tube says. I live in the country in the heart of tick world myself. So I completely understand your issues!! I also treated my yard this month. Since I have treated the yard and used Vectra I have had 0 ticks on the girls.

| thank you so much for your help. i decided to get the 3 month supply of Revolution and after she's finished with that i'll start on the Advantix. keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out. i know Kiva had no problems but Hailey is a new puppy. not sure how she'll react to it yet.

| There is an AdvantageII for small dogs and puppies. It does not have the tick protection but you should not need it if your puppy is not going into tick infested areas. I used it on Gracie as a puppy with no problems. |
