Oh Boy! I was hoping Joel wouldn't have the wooly kind of hair, but he does I cant get a brush through no matter what I use in his hair. I thought I was buying cheap stuff that didnt work but its just his hair lol, too bad because I wanted his hair to be a little longer but I guess I'll have to keep it short. Is there anything for the wooly kind of hair?

I have no suggestion as I don't have a cotton coat but you may get more help in the Grooming section.

Try using a good metal grooming comb to get the tangles out. My Shih Tzu had a massive thick coat and the metal comb worked best on him. Have you tried an all natural product on him with a conditioner and a conditioner spray? You sure need some extra stuff to work on a coat like that.

We use the metal grooming comb on our cotton coated girl. We also use a spray detangler and a two in one shampoo / conditioner. I would use two separate ones if she would sit still longer in the bath. She also gets combed a minimum of every other day with the comb to make sure she doesn't get too matted. We also keep her short in a puppy cut and get her cut every 4-6 weeks. I would also try a slicker brush to get the dead hair out of the coat. My silky boy doesn't get the dead hair stuck in him but she sure does. Good luck!
