| Gluing Ears? I was visiting with a lady today and she told me that her breeder said not to tape her puppies ears but to use a dot of super glue to hold them folded and erect for a few days. Anyone heard of this one????

| I do not think glue should be on skin and I think it's a very bad idea.

| I had never heard of it. I do know when I had back surgery they went thru my neck in front. They used a type of glue instead of stitches to seal the incision. Maybe there is a special kind I dont know.

| Glue is used to close surgical incisions, but I would never use it on a pup to keep the ears up. Seems like that would be risky if the litter of pups were playing as pups do.

| Also, seems like you would be gluing the ears to the back of the head. I wouldn't do it.

| OMG!!! There is a type of super glue that is used in surgery, but it isnt the super glue you use on your nails and coffee cups! It is a permanent glue that you use to close surgical incisions until the tissue heals! Not something you want to glue ears together with..... I would not think EITHER glue is the best way to get ears erect!! NOT WITH SUPER GLUE!!! |

| That glue that was used was a fabric glue, NOT super glue....and someone else used eyelash adhesive....I can handle either of those two adhesives....but NOT super glue!!!! Please tell that lady you were visiting with the correct stuff to use...she needs to tell her breeder too! |
