| Does anyone else... So I have major OCD and a little old fashioned. So I still file, i know i could scan but I like having everything in a nice file. So i decided that I would create a file just for Ralph, so at the end of next year i can see how much money I spend on Ralph. So i want to know do any of you file/scan in the money you spend your fur-babies? I am little nervous to see the total at the end of next year! haha |

| Keeping Records is an excellent idea. I have always done this. I start out with a The FIRST YEAR baby book for each pup. I note birth weight, birth order, when they got teeth etc. I take a picture(s) each month. I write notes like, played with toys today, was afraid of hair dryer and so on. I write what foods they eat, that helps if any problems or allergies happen. I also keep a health file of all vet records, notes and costs on Medical cost page. I do this because I am a writer and keeping records helps me 'see' animal behavior, I can compare how one pup reacted and what we did in a given situation. Best Wishes Teresa and the gang

| I have a file of Jack's shot records and trips to the vets with all of those records and what I have paid out in vetting expenses. I do not keep anything from his grooms or what I have spent at the pet stores on him. Hubby and I were talking about a month ago about getting a sister for Jack (so excited!) and I was able to go back and see what we spent on him to get an idea of what we would need to have set aside for a sister. I think its a great idea and honestly, I was surprised at how little we spent on him for his vetting.

| Oh heck NO! If you can't remember what you spent...it doesn't count...and if you've got no proof...it never happened

I'm new to the forum and I've tried to post a new thread introducing myself about 3 times and it hasn't showed up yet. Is there a specific way to make a new thread? |

| I keep a medical file for both Sophie Kate and her feline brother Avery. Their file goes with me on every trip to the Vet and if Sophie Kate is traveling with us I take hers along. I don't do it track how much I spent, but more for a record of what was done and when. I have used it a couple of times to see how much Sophie Kate weighed at spaying appointment and to Google previous meds or shots she was given.
