| Curly tail My 14 week yorkie Lily has a tail that curls right up on to her back. Does anyone know if this will straighten or stay like this. I have her sister also but hers is straight.

| could your pup possibly be a mix, my Lola is a yorkie pom and that's exactly how her tail is, a pom's tail curls up and lays flat on their back. Lola looks more like a yorkie, coloring and everything but her tail is all pom. Personally we think it is her best feature. I have a lot of albums on here so take a look at them, you will see her tail. The pups sound adorable please post some pitures and welcome to YT. You must like it here, because like me you racked up quite a lot of posts in your first month

| My Bella has a tail also as it is illegal to dock where I live. Her tail from the time she was a puppy, she will now be 2 in June, was curled up over her back and it is still like that. The groomer trims it so it fans out over her back and it is beautiful. I would think yours will do the same |

| No both parents are pedigree yorkies. I know the family well and they have mum and dad do don't think that's the reason DBlain. A local breeder had a pup with a curly tail which she sold cheaper as she couldn't be shown. Maybe it will sort its self out. Don't care if it does she is too precious. Will try to get some picks if her tail. Her undercoat is also silver. Nit white is very definitely silver.

| I hope you didn't take offense, just so many people of late are questioning if they have a full yorkie. I just looked at Snowbird's Bella's album and there is no question she is full yorkie and she is beautiful. It sounds like that is the kind of tail your girl will have, and if so you are lucky because I know everyone seems to love Lola's tail. In the US it is very common for the tails to be docked, if not we might be seeing many more curly yorkie tails.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I've heard this referred to as a "gay tail". Not sure what causes it, but it's so cute. There is also something called a "kinked tail" and a "challenged tail." In the picture, the gay tail is the 4th picture, the one that curls over the back. This is standard in other breeds, such as the Maltese and the Shih Tzu.

We don't dock tails here unless it is a working dog and is done for safety. My girls will never know a days work in their lives lol.

| I looked at the photos so cute, you will love the tail even more as the puppy grows. To put a picture on here, first it has to be sized right, this site only allows pictures that are under 200KB which is small, so after they are sized right, you click the advanced post button, then scroll all the way down to the bottom to where you see manage attachments, click that, then you will get a box that gives you four lines and on the right it says browse, click browse that and it will take you into your computer and then go to the file where the photos are you want to post. Click insert or whatever it says on the picture you select, it should then appear on the browse line. You are not finished yet, next you must click on the button on the right that says upload, if your picture uploads properly, you will see the pic's name in the box below the browse area, you can add three or maybe 4 pictures to each post you make. I have a PC, Mac may work differently but to make it easier for me to find the pics I want to post here, I made a new folder in My Documents that says YT pics, then when I downsize them I save them there so when it comes time to post they are easily found and I don't get mixed up with my normal size pictures, so I have two photos of anything I post here, one that is larger and one that is sized to post here. Good luck

| Little Bit,Thor and Scooter are Yorkie-poo's and they all have the curly tail. Sadie is a silky and Molly and Little Dude (gizmo) are Yorkies. They have no tails, they were docked.
