| I see that all the time around here I caught a large dog running down an off ramp to the highway last week... He was running towards the cars that were just leaving the highway. He could have been killed. My two wear collars 24/7 and are microchipped. I'm glad you're getting your girl microchipped

| So glad to hear that you got to save him! Ralph is microchipped, has a tacker type tag on his collar, small QR tag and then a normal tag with all his info. Then we also have the same tags on his harness (: |

| A neighbors 90lb huskey darted out into the 6 lane road near my house. I watched two cars barely miss her. The owner stood on the opposite side and called her back across traffic. The next week she came running down my street with him chasing her. I had just pulled onto the street, opened my car door and called her,90lbs of Huskey jumped into my back seat. I'm sooooo glad that she was a puppy and wasnt afraid of people. The guy got his dog back after I chewed him out for no collar and not on a leash. I havent seen her out of her yard sense. He thinks that I am a "B" and that is ok. He keeps his dog in her yard now. |

| This reminds me of the time my sister and I found a small dog in the middle of the road, maybe a Scottish terrier or something. We kept trying to call it over to us because we didn't want to run out into a busy road, and people driving by in cars swerving around the dog kept yelling at us to get our dog out of the road...we still laugh about the woman who yelled "Get yo puppa!" We never caught it either! |

| Ya know, I have a pet peeve (no pun intended) with people who knowingly let their dogs out without a tag or leash! I have cousins just up the street from me that has a chihuahua that has absolutely no training, and they just let her run. I gave her owner a harness and leash that my boys outgrew, but he never puts it on her. They just lost their other dog to traffic because of the same reason. It makes me furious at their irresponsibility, and is a poor example for their little granddaughter! I could really go on and on, but won't, because it wouldn't do any good, anyway. |

| We have new neighbors that moved in three months ago with 2 Chihuahua mixes that LIVE outside. They bark their heads off every single time I take the girls out, or do yard work and so on. I feel bad for these dogs, but man o man, they can sure get on your nerves too. Guess it's better than running the streets.

| I am currently "fostering" a yorkie I found in the middle of a busy road. I stopped my car in the road and stopped a van going the other direction that didn't see her. The first thing I did monday morning to see if she had been micro-chipped. Unfortunatly she isn't and I still haven't been able to locate her owner and she has been with us for 3 weeks. We are going to look for another couple months. If we can't find the owner we are going to keep her and first thing I plan on doing is micro-chipped. |
