| Sheldon has 2 baby teeth and 2 adult teeth at the same time. I was looking for my older thread but can't find it. I checked Sheldon mouth today and he has 2 top baby teeth and 2 top adult teeth at the same time. Is this normal? He will be 5 months on the 21st. He already lost 4 bottom teeth and I can see the new chompers coming in. |

Two of our last three yorkies (RIP) had to have their baby teeth pulled by the vet, because they just werent falling out and they were compromising the new teeth. It was a quick operation, over in about 10 minutes and we all came home the same day If you notice that the baby teeth arent falling out on their own and it seems to be crowded in there, take a trip to the vet and see what he wants to do

| I should have said she has "four" lower canines now. Jilli Ann isn't a big eater, in fact she's very picky and I was really hoping she would be at a better weight when she got spayed. Now I'll have to really worry about how well she will do.

| It is very normal especially in small breeds. Emma is 7 months and had 14 teeth pulled last week. She had a full double row on top - she looked like jaws with so many teeth in her mouth!!

| Thank you all so much for the help. Well, looks like Sheldon swallowed 6 teeth lol He has 4 brand new teeth on the bottom and 2 new ones on top and they are all straight. It is crazy how quick those teeth were lost. Waiting to be neuter to pull teeth out won't work because the rescue group had him neutered before we got him. |

| We played a lot of tugging games with Abby (with our favorite braided fleece strips) in hope that we could loosen some of those teeth. It worked pretty well- we only had to have 2 top canines removed at her spay at 7 months. We didn't know and were more gentle with Ziva and had to have 7 removed. |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Katie Scarlett is having the same issue. We already had her spayed but the adult teeth came in after the spay. So now she has double canines on the top. I would like to have them out now as food gets caught in between them, but the vet recommended we wait until her first dental...if they don't fall out on their own.
