| Kiko knows: Hurry up = go potty Wanna go outside? Inside = go inside Where's your toy? = grab a toy, let's play Dinner Cookie = dog treat Carrot, she loves carrots more than cookies Walk, if she hears the word, she will run and sit by the front door and wait Bed = time to go upstairs for bed I think that's it for ones I haven't intentionally taught her. |

| I honestly think Laddy knows all the english language If we talk about going somewhere he gets this look of joy on his face until you say he can't go then he immediately goes and hides. If you tell him to get a certain toy he gets that one. Walk he gets his leash, and on and on lol. Kyra so far knows what treat is lol and bedtime.

| Mine have selective word knowledge. It's amazing how a treat makes them so much more intelligent! Snoopy knows squirrel and broom. The broom is his sworn enemy. When we want him to come in the house and he's being stubborn, we yell 'broom' and he comes running. I hope the neighbors don't think we're threatening him!

Mine seem to know the entire English language, too...regardless of how you re-order the words in a sentence. Not just that, they know the s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g-s of certain words like any variation of "g-o" and "r-i-d-e" and etc., and they have figured out that when we s-p-e-l-l, anything/anytime we s-p-e-l-l, it means they want to "g-o t-o-o" or they want us to "t-a-k-e t-h-e-m" ! We are down to using a thesaurus and are thinking about sign language...or magic marker and poster board...texting is also an option once DH learns how...and we've had these 2-yr-olds less than 1 year. Brody knows every toy by name and will go and get or look for the toy you say. Both also know "squeak" and "squeaker" and will squeak the toys when you ask...IF they want to. Brody also 'inventories' his toys and will know if any are missing and which ones. I accidentally tossed his 'red dog' over the back of the love seat on Sunday, he saw it, jumped up on the back of the love seat and saw it lying on the floor, and went mental, jumping, and running, looking down on his ('abused' ? lol) lost toy, and barking and bouncing and running down the arm of love seat and back up it onto the back...frantic...and such, until I fetched (the usual way the game of "fetch" is played at our house) the toy back into its 'toy box'...the love seat...and yes, there are 2 toy boxes at my house, the second one being their CA King water bed which they graciously allow us to share small corners of...and toys are not always 'ALLOWED' to be moved to an 'alternate' toy box other than where they were given to Brody (including Mia)...he will fetch and/or carry them back...the only way he plays fetch, by the way...and yes, Mia totes them around just for the entertainment value of watching him scurry back to the other room carrying the toy. Additionally, "all toys are belong to Brody" including Mia's and Sunny's...our friend's Shih Tzu for whom we get to puppy sit sometimes...yay! lol Mia knows also "jump" and "run" and "come" and such...Brody does those things only when he wants to...I've seen Mia lately simply step over the jump, too...on command ("jump"), of course. lol Did I mention they also understand hand signals...? Or, that they analyze our...particularly my every move for signals...body language...that they recognize as including a car ride...anywhere? Or, did I happen to hint that they count laundry baskets and when their numbers by the door equal their numbers from the bedroom, they know WE (that includes THEM and possibly us) are about ready to run to the laundromat to dry the clothes? (until we get the dryer fixed, anyway...lol)

DH does this with Brody, too, except the phrase is "Daddy gonna get a stick"...lol Brody has only ever played with, and chewed on, a stick, and DH has never even picked up a stick in Brody's presence (it's me who plays with Brody and sticks), and Brody has no idea what it would mean IF DH were to EVER "get a stick" 'cuz he's NEVER even held a stick out to Brody...but the minute DH says those words, Brody runs to the house...and DH only says those words when Brody's selective understanding/compliance is in "neutral"...lol

| Bailey knows all the basic words. He can sit if he wants to, but being a terrier it's his call. He runs the roost. |
