| She was very picky when we first got her but she would eat the Mother Hubbard puppy treats and that was it but now she is not so picky.

| We also have bil-jacs liver treats, PLEASE don't give too many in a day, or at least cut them up into smaller pieces. We went a little overboard with treats yesterday (she is learning to sit and lie down) and she ended up throwing up. Also, you can totally use their kibble as a treat and they sometimes won't even realize a difference. We got Taste of the Wild samples, and we've been using the TOTW as treats since it's something different from what she usually eats and the size is so small she can eat quite a few.

| We gave them treats right away. We used Zuke's Mini Naturals and sometimes plain Cheerios. We gave them puppy Milk Bones a little later since they wanted the same treats as the big dogs got, but not right away when they're still so small.

| It's a good idea to get your little one all settled in and eating her regular diet before starting to add treats. Sometimes a baby that has just moved to it's new home has some adjustments to make and they don't eat as well as they should at first. Talk to your breeder about if and what they have been using for treats. A puppy can get filled up really fast so you don't want to give them too much in the way of treats because they may not eat as much of their food as they need to. Once your baby is all settled in and eating well then you can decide when treats are in order. Starting too soon could also cause stomach upset especially if it is something she has never had before. Look for some all natural one ingredient treats. They are easier on digestion and will help avoid allergy issues. |
