| spider bite? Ok so I might just be crazy paranoid, but here goes... 2 days ago I trimmed yumi's button. I had never done it before. Yesterday she had vaccinations, then got bit by a spider lastnight (about 5.5 hours ago) This is the 2nd time she has been bit by a spider. I looked it up last time and that one was a wolf spider. Called the vet and he said she should be fine just keep an eye on her... This one was something else, but not one of the 2 spiders here that are dangerous to humans. Are there spiders that I should be worried about that we don't think of as being dangerous? Shes itching her butt. I probably just trimmed it too short, or it could be a mild reaction to the shots... I don't know. I just worry a lot :/ I'll call the vet when it opens she seems ok otherwise. |

| I'm just curious, did you see the spider bite Yumi? I don't think any of my dogs have had a spider bite, I was just wondering how you would know. Yes, there is always something to worry about.

| Thanks I've tried to find what it was online but didn't have any luck. The only one of those it might have possibly been was an orb weaver simply because there are so many different kinds. My husband got up any he says she seems itchier but she was itchy when he had her lastnight before the spider. He thinks its the trim and I'm being paranoid... which is kind of what I thought. Still paranoid about the spiders in general though. Everything I find says "not dangerous to humans" and at 2 and a half lbs seems like something that might just be irritating to us might be dangerous to her... |

| No she yelped and ran under the table and I found the spider. I can't find the bite. Knowing her it's probably in her mouth somewhere |

| Awww I totally understand your concern for spiders. Spiders are my all time worst feared creature!!! I hate them with a passion. Generally the only two spiders we have to worry about in our area (KS/OK) are the brown recluse and the black widow. I think by now if your baby were bitten by one of those you'd definitely see the effects of it in the form of tissue damage, or neurological effects. I am guessing her scratching her bum is from her hair cut or maybe she needs a visit to the vet to check her anal glands. If you are crazy paranoid, you are in good company here.

| Heh well at least I'm not the only one. I killed the spider I know its neither of those just not sure what it is... It probably is the cut spiders just freak me out... My 7 year old niece has killed spiders I ran from... I might have run from this one but Yumi would get it again :/ |
