| Craig's list Yorkie for re home I seen this Yorkie on Craigs list that is 4 years old and owner wants her re-homed. I sent a request with some questions and of course how much. The only question she answered was the fee. I emailed again and ask some other questions, like how does she get along with other pets. She is in a home with another dog. Also is she house broken? The post says she is UTD on shots and spayed. I haven't heard back with the qustions answered. I just thought it was strange with the questions I ask in the first email. Her email was only the dollar amount of $350. and nothing else. Is this a normal "re-home fee"? Anyone ever done that? (re-homed a dog) And does it seem odd she didnt answer me to the other questions? Here is the link: Spayed Female Yorkie |

| I am not sure about a re-homing fee as I would only ask for what my costs are but I would be sure the animal goes to a great home

| On Craigs list you are not allowed to sell pets, So what people do is a re-homing fee. This covers what the person paid to care for the pet. vacc, food whatever. I got Corky from CL, my re-homing fee was 35 bucks.. Depending on the dog should not cost no more than 100 bucks. Sounds like this person is selling the dog, and calling it a re homing fee. he/she might have thought you were someone that might get them in trouble. And has not responded to you. Just ask for the dog papers vet checks. and take them to you vet. |

| We have had news reports in our area telling ppl to be careful about buying dogs on craigslist - especially the "toy breeds" such as yorkies. Apparently, ppl are stealing yorkies and selling them on CL to get quick money. Not sure if this is the case w the little one you are looking at, but not getting answers to questions makes you wonder. I don't know what to tell you to do if that is the case. Do you leave a dog w ppl who steal? Buy the dog anyway to give it a good home? I don't know. You will have to follow your heart.

| Thanks everyone who has given suggestions. I think we are all thinking on the same line. This is the next email she has just sent She's been around a lot of other dogs and gets along well with them. She's usually submissive toward them. I think I am going to give her my number and try to get her to call me see if I can feel her out better on the phone. Maybe she just dont have very good emailing/computer skills? |

| Maybe she is asking this amount to make it's a more serious inquiry and not someone who wants to turn around and sell for more? I noticed they both have matching sweaters and the picture of her sleeping her hair is shorter then the one with the Schnauzer. Sure wish I lived closer, she looks adorable
