| 12 weeks old today and still floppy ears? Our little Pixie just turned 12 weeks today and I am just wondering if their ears are usually all the way up by now? Hers are not TOTALLY floppy, I would have to say they are half way up....actually one is really close to being up sometimes and the other one might be even floppier than it was last week lol! I don't care how they end up and don't think we would go through taping them if that's what it comes down to, (how long do they usually have to stay taped for?) I'm just curious if there is still time for them to be fully upright or will she most likely have floppy ears? OOOH and I need to add that the tips are trimmed and have been for several weeks. Here are a few pics for you to see what I mean! |

| Just tape them for a day. Use painters tape.

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | Pixie is too cute!! I have seen a lot of differing opinions on here from the experts but I can tell you about my little furbaby... Max's ears were half flopped and then went up at 4 months. They were completely up and then one stated to flop (a little) at 18 weeks. It decided to go back up and is now all the way up at 21 weeks. So, I think you have some time before you need to worry about taping. I like the ears both ways and think it makes a Yorkie so interesting that they go through a lot of changes. I think I saw a post on here that said Yorkies are like a box of chocolate. I'd have to agree and I love it!!

| Pixie is absolutely adorable!!! I adore her coloring!! Keep the tips trimmed and when she is through teething, they could very well stay up...in either event, she will be a beautiful baby! |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | she is still young..you should shave all the hair on her ears and then use some medical tape to tape them up. here is a link to some youtube videos of different methods of taping up their ears taping yorkies ears - YouTube.

| I guess it differs as far as when the ears stand up. At least you have the ears shaved so that will help a lot. I have read where some people give their puppies cottage cheese in order to increase their calcium intake. I guess that helps with the cartilage that is developing in the ear. Some puppies ears are up at 8 weeks and others go up later. I know someone posted a good youtube video of someone taping ears. Maybe you could do a search for that thread. It's a pretty common topic on YT. If I can find it I'll post it again for you. |

| Pixie is precious and I LOVE the name! My sonic was the same way one ear would stay flopped down and the other standing up, they both stand up now, so I would just give it time.. I am more for big ears on yorkies it just gives them character. You can check out my pictures and you will see Sonic's radar ears. |

Clean ears good bry really good and tap leave one 3 days take off for one if fall back down do again. Alot of times they fall agian from teething they just dont feel good. |
