I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | This reminds me of Joey at that age, he's head hair was silver with black tips and he looked like he was balding, but his hair just matched his scalp so well. He also was greasy looking, but around 11 months of age, his hair turned from silver to beige and gradually became more golden. His body hair is very silky now, but as a puppy he did tangle and mat especially under his arms when he wore clothes. I love his hair now, never mats in the least, my foster has a mixture of silky and cotton hair and he tangles quite a bit, so much harder to care for. I think Bentley will have Silky hair as an adult, and he's a little darling! One tip is to keep his belly shaved and use extra conditioner in the areas he's prone to matting.

| Thank you for the reply! The hair on his head matches the color of his skin it's almost white it blinds me when we are outside int he sun! on his back it's grown out the bottom half of his hair is black and closer to his skin is a dark steele blue I know the colors will change i wasn't concerned with that, I just LOVE Yorkies in a fu ll coat and was hoping to be able to do that with Bentley but I've been reading that cotton coats you dont want to really grow out! LOL I did shave his ears last night as they started to fall again , and cut very close on his tummy and always use lots of conditioner and let it sit on him for a bit.. i'm adding a picture of his mom and dad as well |

| Our little rescue girl Loleta had really super thick hair. We kept her in full coat with tummy shaved made it a breeze to care for. If she got tangles I always keep a bottle of conditioner and water mixed up to spray on for brushing and I would just spray a little extra there and it brushed right out. I think she had a modified coat because her little rear end would always be curly. I will post a picture of her for you. I miss her so much, bless her lovely little heart.
