YorkieTalk Newbie! | Sophie Seven Weeks Pregnant Hi everyone, im new on here, but Yorkies are my favorite breed of dogs! I'm only 16 and i have had two Yorkies. My first one was a boy named Tinkers, he passed away at the age of 10 during a seizure. A couple months after his death we bought an ADORABLE little girl named Sophie. Sophie is now 2 years old and is 7 weeks pregnant! I was just wondering if anyone has any tips that i could use during Whelping, or for after the puppies are born. I have done a lot of research and have a list of things that i would need for whelping. Here is the list. The Vets Phone Number A Bunch of Towels Paper Towels A Hemostat for the Umbilical Cords Gloves Un-waxed Dental Floss Colostrum Supplement A Newborn Puppy Bottle Syringe's Heating Pad Tums and Vanilla Ice Cream for Sophie. If there is anything else you think i should get or that i need please let me know. (: Thank you |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I do not have any advice for you, but I did want to say Welcome to YT! There are many great people here who can help you out! I have one Yorkie, a girl, but she is spayed, so I know nothing about the baby/pregnancy part.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk! Ilovesophie, I am not a breeder and don't have any interest in becoming one however, there is everything you need to know on this site. Before joining this site, I spent an entire weekend reading old posts and found about 90% of all the answers I was looking for To All: Just wanted to add that I'm very happy to read how this post is being replied to. I've mentioned controversial red flag posts in the past and the possibility of op's dishonesty for the sole purpose of instigation. Kudos to the warm welcomes and general directions to the right information. |

| Welcome to YorkieTalk. I also have no advice with you on whelping... Both my male and female are spayed and will spend their lives as pets. Good luck!

| Its to late now because its already been done but before you breed again please consider this. Are both parents excellent examples of the breed, have both parents been health tested, both parents free of LP, are both parents AKC registered? If no to those questions you should not breed again. Being 16 I am wondering how your going to be there the whole time with them with school? You really should have found a good breeder to mentor you. Do you have the money set a side for a c section if necessary?
