| They do understand!! This is kind of just a funny post but I just told Charlie in a cute sweet voice.... "Tomorrow we go talk to the vet about taking your man hood." And his head immediately tilted his head as to say... "What did you just say?" lol I'm sure I wont be cracking jokes when its being done though. Worry wart mom coming soon. |

| A good Mommy does what is best. I so agree that this is the right thing to do. Try not to worry too much. (Easier said than to do) Prayers for a good surgery and speedy healing. I just did a talk at a youth meeting about pet care (children 13 to 17 years old) and was surprized at the questions. One serious young fellow ask if there was a birth control pill for his dog. He said she has a litter at least once a year ! I explained that dogs should be spayed or neutered. I was so happy to educate the kids. I could see them nod with understanding. I even saw one girl circle the low cost spay/ neuter phone number on the ASPCA brochure.

| I'm going to have the same discussion with Scooter. He won't listen tho. He has the attention span of a brick. I too am worried but it has to be done.

| Im anxious because I want to get it over with and get on with things already. So I'm happy I have my appt tomorrow. And my friend has built a lot of confidence in me about the vet so that's good. Thats been my main concern so far..... The vet. I remember taking my cat to this vet and he was really messed up for days after the surgery and when I picked him up the whole place just smelled like a spay and neuter place. It wasn't a good experience. I have a feeling we'll be in good hands though this time. I really trust my friends opinion. She loves her dogs to death and has been going to this guy for 13 years. |

I am glad you have more confidence in the vet this time. That is very important. They do understand so much. It's incredible just how much they comprehend. I hope all goes well for Charlie tomorrow. We are sending all our best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Yes. That vet with my cat was horrible. I felt so bad for my kitty. But he was fine. I wouldn't go there again though. | |
