| DO you take your furbaby everywhere I got kicked out DSW shoes twice yesterday because of the no pets crap. the 1st times I walked in with him in my arm he had just came from the groomers and hr ad his little shearling coat on. The cashier stopped me at the door and told me no pets. I said ok can i pit him in his bag and come in and she said ok. I came back with him in is bag and another salesman said to me "whats in the bag?" I told him and he said "No Pets because people are allergic Blah Blah" I said oooh well and left. So again do you take your baby everywhere have you been kicked out of places? |

| It's not common to bring your dog along in Denmark, so no I don't take the dogs with me to town. I have done it once and that was fun, but that was just to the bookstore, I figured they wouldn't mind. And they didn't - they thought she was cute

| I don't take either of my babies with me shopping or dining, pets are not allowed and just because mine are small doesn't mean I should get preference over someone with with a larger dog such as a collie or something that would be prejudiced (sp). I take them to my mothers as she has small babies also and my dad loves them to come visit. I would never take them (or even ask to take them) to someones home who don't have housepets, its their preference and I respect that. To each his own but for me I can't justify taking them where they shouldn't be. I guess I'm just a stickler for respecting rules. |

| I take Edie many places, but she is always in her bag, which people cannot see into. We keep a low profile. I have never been asked to leave anywhere. I don't like to put people in the position of having to ask me to leave. I am sure most store employees would prefer to look the other way, but if the pet is obvious, they cannot do so. |

| I know where I can get away with taking Loki. Some of our stores at our local (outdoor) mall even state they are "pet friendly" I don't have a bag for him right now, I just put a hoodie on him and carry him. Luckily we have never been kicked out! I get the allergies thing, because I am allergic to cats and most dogs - BUT how can people be allowed to smoke in restaurants AND right in the doorway of a place claiming to be "non-smoking" (which I am SEVERELY allergic to) but I can't bring my little yorkie into a store for 10 minutes so he doesn't have to sit in the car. A big dog can stay home for 4 hours, Loki cannot. We are good about having someone home with him 99% of the time, but if we both go out we do take him. We trade off going in places (like grocery, Target) or we take him with to places we know he can go. In the summer he goes out to eat with us (we sit outside). Gosh, Loki gets a bath before we go on these outings AND he is better behaved than most of the kids in the store! I doubt that a dog IN A BAG is going to bother someone that much.

| Wosie comes with me My husband was pretty freaked when I bought Wosie's front pack and decided I could take her everywhere. At first he said no when we were doing errands together, and then we made a deal that everywhere we went I had to ask and if the store said no, then I would stay outside with Wosie. The first place we went was the Harley dealer. I asked one of the big burly salesmen if it was OK to have a doggie in a bag, and he said, no it's not, take her OUT and put her on a leash, poor little thing! lololol I said no, she was perfectly happy in her bag, and he told me to at least pop her head out, so I did. You would NOT believe all the attention Wosie got from everyone in the store, customers, salespeople, and clerks alike. The next errand on the trip was to a woodworking store, and they said OK, and then to a scuba shop, and that guy said we just missed a doberman in the shop, lol. So my husband is much more comfortable with taking her with us now that we have proved she is acceptable, especially in her bag. I don't think I would take her to the grocery store unless I was running in quick to pick something up, and I would never take her to a restaurant because she would fidgit over the food smells too much and get me in trouble, lol. You cannot see her if her head is in the bag because the screening is only on the sides of the bag and is black. You have to lean in and really peer hard to see there is a critter in there. Good luck taking your pup with you! I just love my front pack, and so does Wosie.

| I agree with you on the smoking thing also. I'm a smoker and I don't smoke in restaurants, or anywhere that smoking is not allowed or in peoples homes who don't smoke. Like I said before I'm stickler for respecting rules and other people. Not saying anyone is wrong, just that I feel for me that it would be wrong so I don't. My babies do fine at home for a few hours by themselves I guess its just what I have gotten them used to. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm here with them most of the time. People with big dogs love them just as much as we love ours, my brother has a boxer and he's a big boy, he is a house dog and thinks hes a tiny puppy, lol he tries to fit in your lap and takes a running leap to you. He is their baby and they love him just as much as I love my two. I just feel it would be wrong for me to think that people should make exceptions for mine just because of their size. But like I said before to each his own, if you feel its ok then go for it, if you feel you shouldn't then maybe you shouldn't. |

| I used too when I only had Simon, we lived in a small town so he went EVERYWHERE with me! He loved his little bag back then and he would go teach with me, go grocery shopping (the deli guy would give him tiny treats), went to the movies, went to a local diner, really he was allowed everywhere! Now with 2 I can't do it, and since Simon is all grown up he has decided he is too good for his girly bag and hates it! When my mom comes to visit Hallie and I spend girl time together shopping, she loves loves loves her carry bag (I think because it's pink) so I take her to Target to do some sneaky xmas shopping for mom and Simon. Since I would never take one without the other I can only do that when my mom is visiting. The only place I have ever gotten kicked out of is Mt. Rushmore Park which is not pet friendly AT ALL! |

| My town is a small one but not a very pet friendly place, you don't see people with their dogs out in stores or restaurants here. I've seen many, many dogs left in cars alone though and I would rather leave my babies home than leave them alone in a car. If we had places that welcomed our pets then I would definately take mine. They go with me on short trips like to the bank drive thru or if I'm just going to go pick up dinner at the drive thru. |

| Miko used to fit in my purse and we took him everywhere with us because he would just hide in my purse I always tried to keep him from being seen because I didn't want to get kicked out of the stores. Miko weighs 9 lbs now though, so he doesn't fit in any of my purses anymore! hehe We do still take him places, but mostly to 5th ave and restaurants where we can eat outside or drink coffee. |

| Since I have had a dog carrier I almost don't have problems. The places where people asked me to leave: post office, Best Bay Graft Store sometimes people don't look friendly, but don't tell anything. However, I take Jessica in the same places again and nobody tell me anything. I always take her to a mall and I know that dogs are NOT allowed there. But she in her bag, not everybody even sees and if so people always give a compliments. One day I took her to Chease Cake and in QFC , I was very careful. Thanks God, nobody saw her in QFC and nobody told me anything in CC. When I stop by food store, I would prefer to leave her in car, but she is jumping there and than car signaling Too much noise |

| I take mine everyhwere and do so legally as they are service dogs so they are fortunate and cannot get kcked out of anywhere as the law protect them. I never have to leave them in the car, leave them at home or abandon them in an evacuation. It gives me great peace of mind that they have access to all public places just like people do because of their value to me. |
