| So question.. Brushing teeth.. So I have been cleaning Miss Brandy's with a clean rag. I know it's time to get a brush and good tooth paste but which one is good? and tooth brush or finger brush. Can anyone help me.. I'm going to the vet soon but I really want to clean her teeth well.. Her breath doesn't smell but it's getting harder to clean them. What do you use? are dental bones good?help please

| I use a soft toddler toothbrush and CET vanilla mint toothpaste. I've not used any kind of dental chews as of yet.

YT 2000 Club Member | I use CET for Mags with a toothbrush, but on Jazzie, Gracie and Elijah I use Tropiclean Gel with a toothbrush, works AMAZINGLY. I posted a pic of Elijahs results over on the grooming section I believe.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | We currently use a toothbrush/toothpaste pack I bought at PetSmart. The toothpaste is poultry flavored. KS seems to accept it. She hates the brushing part, but she is pretty good about not fussing. I want to try that CET paste next. We have not tried any dental chews or anything yet either. I am curious as to that spray I hear some use though.

| I found the finger brushes too big for my puppy's mouth. I got a Four Paws toothbrush/paste/finger brush combo at Petco. Any small brush should work. The combo came with a vanilla/mint paste that smells like vanilla frosting. Charlie liked to lick and eat at it but only short amounts of time so not much brushing got done. I just received CET paste in poultry. Omg, he loves it. He goes for the paste and cap and lets me brush so much more. He spends so much time chewing on the brush/paste too. He is basically brushing his own teeth too on top of me brushing them! He even puts his lil paws up and holds the brush. I make sure to move the brush around so he is chewing at different areas/angles. This may sound gross, but I thought the poultry would smell and taste disgusting so wanted to stay w/ vanilla/mint. I've tasted a dab of each and the vanilla is sweet, the poultry isn't chickeny hehe at all. If anyone is having a hard time getting your dog to keep their mouth open and not turn away spend the $10 and try the CET poultry. |
