| Who feeds a low fat dog food??? I was wondering who feeds their yorkie a low fat food and if so what brand!( Gizmo had a bout of pancreatitis this month so now we have to put him on a low fat diet) Our vet suggested Gizmo be on Hills science diet dry food and its too big so we are looking into a few others. |

| My dog is a pancreatitis patient (with several other problems). I feed Purina HA. Used to homecook.

| Oddly shaped - all different sizes. I would not say it's small. And some don't like it because there are no animal products in it. Royal Canin LF Purina EN ..both good foods for this. If you don't want to feed rx and don't want to feed an over the counter kibble, you can always homecook if you would be more comfortable with it. EN is small, btw..

| We feed grain free Fromm. I don't know if it will help with pancreatitis, but it has helped my dogs to lose a little fat and maintain a better, healthier shape. You may want to check into it.

| Royal Canin Gastrointestinal lowfat. Kibble is small, suitable for pancreatitis patients. Have had good results.

| my girl zowi had a bout of pancreatitis last september and has other health conditions. (hypothyriod, cushing's disease) she has been on blue buffalo healthy weight chicken and brown rice (6% fat) dry kibble. we use blue buffalo optimal calorie whitefish canned (4% fat) for giving medications. (these foods also have low protein, which is good for my girl's liver issues.) she has lost weight, cholesterol has lowered, has less gas, and has not had any more pancreatitis problems since on this food. blue buffalo just came out with a new small breed healthy weight formula that i was considering but it's higher in fat and proteins so i'm sticking with the "adult" version. our vet recommended finding the lowest fat possible with low protein and moderate fiber, but this was specifically for my zowi and her several conditions. best of luck to you in finding what works best for your baby and specific needs!

| I use Wellness Healthy Weight for Small Breeds. The kibble is nice and small and they both love it.
