| Rabies Laws Mississippi It's that time of year again... I just rcv'd a notice from Tillie's and Bella's vet saying they are due for their rabies vaccines (last given March 2011), which prompted me to check my state's rabies laws. MS State Board of Animal Health States that vaccines "shall be licensed as providing 3 year immunity," and that "1 year rabies vaccines are not allowed for use in dogs and cats in Mississippi." I feel misled when I find these discrepancies and plan to talk with their vet about it when I get Tillie microchipped.
