| jasper is here... We just got jasper home and he is doing well. I am wondering what others think... my breeder said I should just let my baby run in a small pen all day and night and let him have food and water all day and night so as not to get Hypoglycemia but I don't know if I should. She also said that he is still to young to go outside to potty train (he is 11wks). I have read about hypoglycemia but I don't think letting him eat all night is good either. Also I know he isn't use to the new pad but I want to know its ok that I know he ate last night but so far this moning (had food all night) haven't seen him eat and wouldn't take food from my hand... is that normal for him being in a new home? He also only plays in the living room for bout 5-10 minutes then goes back to his pen and sleeps? How much do most yorkie pups sleep nap wise? Sorry its so long just want to know so I know he's not getting sick

| i would do three to four small meals a day with water available at all times. when i brought cedric home he would have play bouts and sleep lots. he still loves to sleep but he will play hard as well. once you get him into a schedule it will be easier. i now feed them twice one morning one night and leave hard kibble for them to snack on. he is almost a year so he doesnt eat more than he is hungry for now.

| Depending on the size of your baby & his activity level, he may need to eat every 2 to 4 hrs. Also you say he has not eaten so I would give some nutrical to be sure he doesn't become hypoglycemic & it also helps to stimulate the appetite. Congradulations on your new family member. |
