| positive and negative at pet expo I went to a pet expo this Saturday and I took the stroller and had Callie and Sammy in it. Well Sammy is a rescue and still has very rare occasions where he snaps out of fear well he snapped and my mom went to move him and said sorry to the lady whose dog he snapped at and there was a second lady who said its just small dog syndrome and my mom said no he is a rescue and snaps when he is scared and the lady cut her off to say its little dog syndrome like two more times. It was so annoying I get that some times little dogs can act bigger then they are and try to take on bigger dogs but that was not the case and we even tried to explain that to her but she just didn't even care to listen. That was our only negative experience at the pet expo. I went to buy a no pull harness that hooks from the front and the guy selling them was like these are true terriers here everybody this is what a yorkie used to be and should still be ( no offense to yorkies that are small and in standard) it makes you feel good when instead of hearing negative stuff about there size you hear positive stuff. Callie had soooooo much fun her tail must have been tired from all the wagging. Sammy did pretty good only two snaps and he loved all the people.

| Glad you had a good time (other than the one woman who seems to think she knows your dogs better than you do ). I love going to pet expos! Well, I like any event I get to take my pup to They are such great stimulation for the dogs, getting to see so many people and sniff like crazy. ZoE crashes out after an event like that and sleeps the whole way home in the car. Did you buy the front harness? I've read about them, but never actually seen one in action.

and Bear too! ♥ Donating Member | It sounds like you had a good time, other than the ignorant woman. That was so nice of the gentleman that gave you the compliments. You take very good care of your dogs, and they are so lucky to have you. I would love to go to a pet expo! Do you have any idea how Ican find out where the closest one is to me?

| I am glad you had a good time. I have a snappy one too. Had lots of exposure to dogs and people when he was a puppy but still have an attitude with dogs he doesn't like for whatever reason. They are after all Terriers and are meant to have attitude, at least I think so!

| I took Link to petsmart today and a lady ask me what type of dog he was and i told her he was a yorkie she had the nerve to ask me if he was on steroids bc he is large 10 lbs at 6 months and then tried to convince me that he was a silky and not a yorkie. I told her that he is full blooded akc registered but she kept on trying to explain to me about what a silky is...I finally said politely that i didn't care what type of dog he is that i loved him all the same.

| We were at the pet expo too on Saturday. Mostly it was a great time. Cody came along of course. We tried to have him walk, but when we got in line to get tickets, someone kicked him. I'm sure it was an accident but he got really scared so I carried him in his purse the rest of the time and he was fine. I did find it totally odd that people felt okay reaching over and petting him without asking though. I mean, they were basically reaching into my purse without even saying hello to me or asking first. It was strange. Cody got a few weird comments, but I think they were just curiosity and nothing mean or anything. One person asked me if he is a mix, which he isn't. And another person commented on how "big" he is. (Cody is about 5.5 pounds at 6 months... so not really that big!) But, in her defense, he was the largest yorkie we saw all day. Anyway, it was a good time. I definitely wouldn't try to have him walk again though. Yay for my Kwigy-Bo! |
