| Hello and welcome Casee, there are several here that have had their girls spayed and hopefully will check in soon. My Prissy will be having her in a few weeks, I'm only familiar with the neutering since Yoshi, my peke has his at 5 months.

| She'll be just fine. Are you bringing her home in the evening? If so, she'll be allowed only a very small amount of water and maybe a little food, so she won't be sick from the anesthesia meds. Just be careful and keep her from jumping or running for a few days. Don't want to pop the stitches. Keep an eye on the incision to be sure it doesn't become infected. You may want to pick up a onesie so she won't lick or scratch at the incision while you are asleep or not watching her. She will be back to herself in a few days.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Welcome to YT! Our Katie Scarlett was spayed 2 weeks ago tomorrow. She did so much better than I expected. I was so worried, but it really turned out ok. I dropped her off at 8 and was able to pick her up at 5 the same day at our vet. I thought she would be all knocked out of it, but she was awake and so happy to see me when I picked her up. I took her straight home and cuddled her in her favorite blanket as she went back to sleep. She got up a couple of times that first night to drink, but no food. The morning after her spay she ate just a bit and drank some more, but that was all. She slept most of the day after too. I kept her confined in the den with me. I put the baby gate up so she could not get out the door. I restricted her movements like I had been told. She perked up a lot more on the 3rd day. I know some have trouble with it, but KS has not bothered her stitches at all. If they do, you can put one of those cones on, but we did not have to. Her first poopie was tough. I could tell she was in pain, but I tried to comfort her as much as I could. Now almost 2 weeks later, it's like she is the same pup she always was. She is healing wonderfully and back to her old self. We did have some issues with pee pee potty accidents. She was almost accident free before the spay but now she seems to have an accident at least every other day. So we are working on that, but she is getting better. I hope the spay goes well for you guys! Best of luck!
