| I might have a water baby after all.... So Harley has a grade 2 LP in his left hind, and it's not bugging him now, but the vet suggest he go to rehab sessions so the tech can teach me how to massage and properly stretch his legs so that he can continue to do agility. Well one of the things she suggested was water walking and swimming. I tried water walking last week in the tub, but he HATED IT. This week I filled the tub full and put on his new life jacket, and dumped him in.... he paddled around so adorably. She told me only to do like 5 minutes cause it's like a 30 min work out equivalent, and now he's sleeping like a baby. I promise next week now that I know he's safe, I'll take video and pictures. Although every three strokes, he tried to jump out of the water, and epically splashed me I know there are a few water babies out there, I've seen Jackson's videos, but who else's babies LOVE to swim?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I'd love to see the videos. I have never put mine in water other than to bath them so I don't know what they would do in a tub if water.

| Allie loves the pool, but ironically hates a bath. She likes swimming so much she jumped off a double decker boat into the ocean, when our backs were turned-noses her way under the zipper of the stroller to get out. Scared the *#$% out of us!!

| I have got to get mine in a pool sometime. Rosie is so prissy I don't know if she would do it or not. Mikki might! We would just have to see. We used to have a Beagle (RIP my baby Buck) who would swim in our pond. But only when he was trying to get a coon.

| I'm excited to try it again next week, I bought it originally planning on letting him swim in my friend's pool, but with all his skin issues we probably wont be able to let him do that. So for now he can swim in our tub

| we live on a lake and Lola loves to swim. when we play fetch she purposely runs down the steps to the water by the dock and puts her toy in so she can swim after it. I bought a flat raft and swim around pushing it while she jumps off and on it fetching her toy. This is the first year we have her and since none of our others liked the water we surprised. Proof that my husband is crazy about her is that he is willing to switch our boat hoist to the other side of the dock, this will give her a better swim area. He will have to move the lift controls and everything, but LOL since it's for Lola he will do it. Swimming does present some problems, we have to be very careful when we are on the boat with her so she does not jump off. She does not seem to understand that in MI in November we don't swim in the lake, but if outside and we are not careful she is still trying to get in the water. Even though she loves to swim, she HATES getting a bath. |
