| How did you choose your dogs name(s)? I have been thinking lately about how pretty some of the names on here are and I was wondering how did you come to choose that name? With Roscoe that is what the breeder named him and I LOVED it because it fit him so much!! I call him Roscoe the Rascal Sukie is named after a TV actress from the show "True Blood" but when I told my breeder he name she said her nickname was Sukie so now everytime I think about her name I think about her breeder and how much she has touched my life and how beautiful of a person she is.

| I didn't get to name either of mine. I got Rosie at 6 months and she was already named. And Mikki at a year old and she was named. I just changed the spelling of Mikki's name. Now, I did add middle names to both of them. They are Rosie Marie and Mikki Leigh. But DH called her Mikki Woo Dog.

| That is so sweet about your breeder. Maximo was inspired by his puppy picture -- he looks intense. First it was Maximus was Gladiator, but our Italian neighbor said "Maximo" and it stuck. Teddy was named for Teddy Roosevelt because he loves the outdoors, he is energetic, and has a real zest for life.

| My daughters picked out our names. They have H names so Holly and Hunny had to have H names as well. Hunny is spelled after Winnie the Pooh's Hunny!! Hunny is mine and I wanted Roxy, Bella, or Sophie to name a few but I was informed it would be wrong to not give her an H name. |

| I named Jimmy "Ponyo" at first after the little goldfish princess in the movie "Ponyo". However, not only is that kind of a girls name...it sounds REALLY strange saying it and explaining it to people. My girlfriend, who I got Jimmy for, loves people names on dogs so...we mulled over a bunch of names....I love James Dean, he's so handsome and cool..so James Dean, AKA Jimmy it was! Love the Maximo story!

| Sprout - His main breed is Brussels Griffon and he is small like a sprout. Bella - it means beautiful in Italian Shakespeare - He is my favorite playwright, and was English. Yorkies are English as well. neat thread |

| I didn't come up with Delilah's name... my mom did! When I first got her, we couldn't figure out what to name her. It took about three or four days to finally come up with one. I was going to name her Tequila... but didn't want to think about alcohol everytime I looked at my dog.

| I truly love his name! It is so unique and cute! I am German BTW! My dad and grandparents are from Germany and I was born two years after he came to America!

Louie was named by the rescue from whence he came, but DH decided we should keep the name because it's the name of the St. Louis Blues' mascot. He's a bit of a hockey fanatic. Louie has a Blues collar and already has a Cardinals collar for when baseball season gets here. If we hadn't kept his name as Louie, it would have been Yadi, after Yadier Molina. We are slightly huge Cardinals fans around here
