| Retained puppy teeth Tink was born on August 12, 2011. I looked in her mouth today and she has at least two retained puppy teeth....her two top canines. She didn't like me looking in there so I couldn't tell if she had any more. LOL I'll be scheduling her spay for the end of February and I know they'll pull them then. But, I feel bad for Mama's baby needing teeth pulled My husband teases me because I baby and spoil her so much when I've always been more firm with my other dogs....hehe.... |

| Jimmy was born June 10th and his two top canines are in solid too. I yanked his bottom ones couple of weeks ago (they were hanging by a thread) but his top two are in there SOLID. I am getting him fixed at 8 months old so I'm hoping they come out before then but if not, I'll have them pulled. Does your babies mouth stink?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | For some reason, Yorkies have a problem losing all their baby teeth and most of them need at least one or two pulled. A great time to do it is during neutering/spaying when they won't feel a thing. My vet saved Joey's teeth for me in a little vial; he understands that Joey's my baby!

| Make sure you keep an eye on them. I got Sophia spayed when she was pretty young (because she had a hernia that the vet really wanted to fix ASAP) so they didn't want to pull baby teeth yet. Anyways, she's left with two retained baby teeth (canines) and one of them broke when she was chewing on a toy. So definitely get them pulled while they're under

| Teddy had 8 retained puppy teeth (my lil shark). They removed them when the neutered him.

| My little girl's chihuahua had 11 baby teeth that had to be pulled after we adopted her from the shelter. I never even heard of retained baby teeth in any animal before that happened to us. She was estimated to be up to 2 years old so she had them a while. |

| Kaci had 4 retained teeth, and they really caused a crowding problem, plus the two teeth, baby canine and adult canine were sitting right up against each other and both of them looked really bad..that is until she had the teeth pulled and her teeth cleaned..

| I didn't even think of asking for the teeth back! Hmmm...LOL I know these little guys tend to retain puppy teeth..I just feel bad for her having to have them yanked. Because I'm a big sucker for Tink! LOL And they will definitely get pulled when she's spayed...if they'll still there. |

| Yeah, I tried keeping his two little canines but they broke the next day when I tried to move them. Broke right in half. I was bummed

| Kiwi had 6 teeth removed at the time of her spay. They saved them for me (which I thought was kind of funny at the time). She had no problem recovering, though I bet her mouth felt a bit sore . |

| Abby had her spay on Tuesday- the vet removed the top two baby canines then- you can't even tell and Abby is actually a lot more comfortable already, she was chewing on her nylabone this morning and really hadn't been able to last week. Ziva had 7 removed at her spay and her mouth was really relieved by having them pulled. |
