| Is this a realistic hope Okay guys, give me your thoughts on this one....Petie (babyboy05) is one of the most amazing little fellas on earth!! I had been looking for a girl forever and with cost, distance and availibility always an issue I never found the little girl I had been dreaming of. My husband and I had found a breeder in Macon Ga which was 3 1/2 hours away from were we live and we decided to drive up and just look at the place, meet with the breeder and so on. Well, she greeted us with this tiny little boy and we were SOLD! I've read that when considering stud service you should always keep in check with any unwanted quaulities. Petie Doodle is perfect! I know, he's the apple of my eye but he is perfect! His pedigree is impressive too. I want to stud him out, take his daughter out of the litter as a fee and have them both fixed. oh ya and live happly ever after. I dont want to become a breeder, but to have one of his offspring...Wow..His daughter...He will be 1 year old on December 13. He has started to mark which is unpleasant but natural . If this is the route that I decide to take, how would I advertise? Local paper for starters? Call the breeder from which he came from? Am I being selfish? Maybe just continue to search for her and not try to breed? If anyone has anyy comments please advise.....I love you guys! This site has been most very helpful in all of my issues ( finding a breeder, potty training, teeth issues, diet ideas, products, treat info, bathing product info) this group has a wealth of info that I have used to the fullest! |

| I see no one has replied. Ya might want to place this in the Breeders section of the forum. Some of them may not even look at this section.

| Most Yorkie do not have a big litter so getting a puppy for the price of a stud fee might be high. If that is what you want to do, Find yourself a good bitch and try to work out a deal. Good Luck

| Liz, I called dogwood valley the night before last because I was curious if I had been there before. In December of last year I had visited a place in Ringold/Rockyface in hopes to find a baby girl. I had spoke to this guy several times and my hope was up. When I got there it just wasn't what I had expected. It was borderline mill. The dogs were not as he had discribed. And you could tell that they Never were around people and had always been caged. It was soooo horrible!! I reported it and went into a deppression and swore I would never look for any Yorkies agian...In Feb'05 is when we got Petie. I was so skeptical the whole way there that I was nauseated!! I didn't even want to go. The place that I went to that day I will never forget and thier name wasn't Dogwood valley. But I am leary, He sounded the same and he kept telling me how many inches his yorkies were and thats what that puppy mill guy would say too. Usually the wieght is discused. So that kinda stood out different from all the other breeders I had talked to.. He also said the other night that he had no females but he had two litters due and the mothers were right next to each other?? caged like the other ones??I'm sorry, I'm just really sore as you can see..It was a nightmare!! He may be a differant guy... |

| The only reason why I called him is to fish if it was the same guy. But if it isn't him I am sorry. I didn't ask for his address because it was far in the country, kinda, maybe off of Hwy 2?? I can't remember.. |

| I'd start by checking with your area or state Yorkie Club. And putting this in the breeder part too may give someone some ideas that are wanting to breed their females too!
