| I'm having puppy fever!! I currently have a 1 1/2 year old yorkie and I am really considering getting another soon. My husband deploys often and I find that my Bentley is awesome company while he's gone so why not have 2? Is it harder with 2 or is easier? I can't even explain how much I love my little guy, I never thought I could love a dog as much as I love him....he's like my son lol I can't wait to get another one I just hope my husband is okay with it!! Does anyone's yorkie constantly bringing their to you and sitting there crying until you throw the toy? My Bentley will bring his ball, sit it at my feet and cry until I throw it haha he basically talks with his eyes, he will look at his toy then look at me as if to say " throw it mom" I wouldn't have it any other way, he's my baby!

| Bentley sounds like a great companion while your husband is deployed. Everyone is different. For me, having 2 is wonderful, but definitely more work. Twice the expenses too. My guys play together, but they still look to me to entertain them. Instead of one cute little guy sitting at my feet asking to go for a walk or play, I have two. The hardest part is that I can't always take both of them on errands or what not. When I take one, the other sulks, even though he has company at home. Traveling is more complicated. Best wishes in making your decision....and possibly looking for your second pup!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Well I agree with all Maximo and Bitsy said. There is something I've been thinking about a whole lot; that being adding another dog into our family, "cause" it would be good for the current dog in someway or fashion. I think one's first priority should be; do I want to care for two? - can I afford the financial expense? Am I ready for my life to be changed by doubling up. When I went from two to three dogs - wow!. From my memory one to two was not too bad. But even some vacation homes/cottages that would take one, didn't want two. Even campsites here have a limit on the number of dogs you can have. when we travel, potty breaks are kindof extended with three dogs, and with two, I walk one by one, because I'm just cautious in strange places, and want my whole attention focussed on one dog at a time.

| Very good points, Gemy and Maximo. To the OP, if you do decide to get another one (taking all things into consideration), I'm sure you'll find the perfect wee one to add to your family! |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | You need to do a lot of thinking, consider the pro's and cons of adding another dog to your family. Are you 100% prepared to take on the responsibility of another dogs? That being said.... it's that puppy fever that lead me and my family to having four Yorkies!! Love, love love my babies. Wouldn't know what to do without them in our lives. There is: Quincy who is 9, Miah who is 7, Brandi who is 5 Ruby Bella' our 2 yr old. ONe very important thing that I would caution you about would be to make sure that your Bentley is totaly potty trained before you take on another pup. That would be a disaster waiting to happen. The good thing about that is that he can be very helpful when potty training a new pup. good luck....

| Two=more work and more money. I have been wanting another for a while but not sure if Gracie would accept another. Guess it's up to what you can deal with. Gracie will bring the ball to me and bark until I throw it so if yours is talking with his eyes you are blessed! Then when I throw the ball she wants me to fight with her to get it back. She is obsessed with her ball. She used to be a great fetch player but now she is so possessive of that ball she doesn't want anyone else to touch it! |
