| yorkie puppies for only 400? Soo im still looking for a yorkie pup! I came across this add. it was yorkie puppies for sale. purebred. Comes with AKC papers, health guarantee, and updated on shots for only 400?! It is local so i would be driving there to see them. But is this too good to be true? |

| Yes, I would also really look at references... They're not always accurate, but the most basic search would be Yelp. If they're reputable, it'll be easy to find references elsewhere.

| Yes, it is too good to be true. There is no way a breeder could be practicing good breeding standards and selling AKC pups for $400. That would not begin to cover the costs of a good breeder. Do your research. Ask to see the parents. Ask what kind of genetic testing was done on the parents. Read the health guarantee closely and come here for feedback on the guarantee. Post in the breeder's forum.

| Make sure to ask if the parents were health tested and if she keeps the puppies until 12 weeks old. Also pay attention to where they are being raised as well as if they are scratching a lot or anything.

| I paid $500 for Sonic and got papers, just haven't signed and send them off. this is how I came across sonic, me and my 6 yr old nephew went to wal-mart I noticed a puppy sign so after we finished shopping, I drove to check out the puppies, they had shih tzu's, poodles, yorkies, and poodles mixed the and on a table they had this smaller cage with 3 small puppies 2 white little bitty puppies and sonic. I wasn't planning on getting a puppy i just wanted to check them out, all the puppies were very active so cute! sonic he just layed there wasn't active, so i asked her about him how big he would get she said he would be the size of his parents around 3-4 lbs, so I asked her about the bigger yorkies puppies she said they were from a different litter and she wanted 375 for them. I really liked the little bitty white puppies they reminded me of cotton balls lol.. So I asked her about the little yorkie *sonic* and I said ok ill be back.. I went to get the money and came back bought him they gave him some karo syrup, it was during the weekend and they told me i had 72 hrs for health check up, but being the weekend they were nice and gave me till the following wed. vet said he was in good health and I got a good deal on him, that he was bred good, he seen people pay $1000's for a pup and they were not bred good. So when i took him for his check up he weighed 1 lb and 15 oz. No I didnt see his parents, I don't regret getting him he is sweetest little guy, he loves kids he is just a bundle of joy! If yall are wondering about them being in the parking lot selling puppies, they had a tent for shade and fans on all the puppies and water and food. Sonic is the first dog I ever paid 500 bucks for to me that is alot of money lol.. So this is how i got sonic.. |

It was not a good breeder you got your puppy from and you were very lucky he was healthy. He still could end up with genetic health issues that his parents were not tested for. Good breeders don't just sell there puppies in a parking lot they actually want to meet and interview future owners. It is so wrong to buy a puppy in a parking lot please please no one do this.

| We went to see the pup today! The parents were gorgeous and had a very good temperament. The breeder was very nice too. They did invite me into there house. They lived on a ranch. There house was very nice and the yorkies were living in a very clean environment. I did end up buying one of the boys. Hes a doll! His health guarantee last for one year and its for any heredity defect of some sort. He also came with a pedigree. He has many champion bloodlines. They gave me a sample of his food which was "taste of the wild".She gave me the AKC number of the sire and the dam. The pups were also 12 weeks old. I will be taking him to the vet in the net 48 hours just in case. The yorkie i brought home is doing really good. Hes eating, drinking, going potty, playing. Im in lovee! |

I hope he is given a clean bill of health by your vet and you get to experience all the joys of yorkie ownership I do have to warn you... Be very cautious, these guys are extremely intoxicating and addicting! You will lose all reason and have continuous lapses in judgment at the paws of these tiny creatures. They win you over so quickly | |

| I know, but the way I see it I saved sonic, I just couldn't help it but your right he could still have some genetic issues but so far he has been lucky. And she didn't ask me any questions either so yes was bad breeder. And I think it was ment to be for me to have him.. I tried looking her up online and only found 1 complaint against her if it was her and IF she has a website I haven't found it. but all and all I love my Sonic |

My furkids Donating Member | CONGRATULATIONS on your new furbutt! I don't promote pet stores, selling pups at yard sales, outside stores or puppymills...that being sad....when you adopt/buy a rescue alot of times they are from pet stores that have been closed down and the rescuer takes all of them (there is a woman the town over from me that has done this),....My Mom and Dad adopted a beautiful little mini schnauzer, Heidi. Unfortunately Heidi had many health issues....you can also buy a pup from a really good contentious breeder and end up with health issues. sometimes is just genetics....I'm glad that you little one is healthy..

| I paid 650 for mine without papers since the mom is a biewer and dad is akc. Also got him cheaper since he was a little bit older, almost 4 months....so says breeder.
