| I'm not really sure what you mean.... My oldest is going to be one in Feb. and I wipe his eyes down daily with a wipe as well as my puppy. I have never truly heard of doing this but maybe someone else can help :-) BTW do you mean like a dye? There is no way I would do this... Why would you want to darken your yorkie? They are perfect IMO they way they are!

| I don't think you do know what I mean. Yorkies I have had in my life have all came to me when they were at least 12 months old. All have had the correct dark coloring around the eye. I am now looking at a 7 month old. Yorkies thru many changes in appearance between 6 and 12 months and I was wondering if anyone had any insight on theses changes. I am aware of changes in coat coloring, not not sure about the appearance of their face. I can't imagine anyone ever considering adding dye to an area unless . | Are you talking about the pigment in the eye rims? I don't know what the halo is? Our puppies were always born with the nice pigmented eye rims.

| Perhaps this will help you. It shows yorkies from birth through sixteen years. I have not really paid attention to the timing of changes. They go through so many. pictures

| The halo is the area around the eye rim that helps make the eyes look a little larger. I would like to be able to zoom in on the face of the 6-12 month old, so I could see. I know they go thru many changes. I am just used to getting them after the gawky teenage stage. Thanks for your help. |

| I think I know what you mean. Max's eye rims were pink until he was about a year old, if I recall correctly. Maybe it was earlier.
