| You know your puppy learned (blank) when... You know your puppy learned the 'sit' command when you say to your husband "You should sit down and relax, you've been on your feet all day long at work" ...and the puppy stops mid-play and sits. (happened last night) She then waited on her tushy for me to say "YES! Good girl,Bella!" and then she was back to playing again. Made us laugh like there was no tomorrow, because I wasn't even looking at her or talking to her (husband is the one that pointed at her and said 'omg she sat, look'.) Anyone else have a "You know your puppy learned ___ when..." stories? |

| Your story reminded me of one that Heidi did that made me laugh. I had been training with her for a several months on basic commands & some trick training. I'd always say "Good Girl!" when she did good. Our first day of Obedience School, before class started we were watching a little dog practice on high jump thingy. Heidi immediately zeroed in on it and was totally ingrossed. The dog's owner said "Good Girl! Heidi started jumping around going crazy, so proud of herself -- she thought the "Good Girl!" was for her! Also, sometimes I'll ask her to do a particular trick and I'll think she's doing the wrong one. Then I realize she is doing the one I told her to do, not the one I had in my head and said the wrong words! She's right - I was wrong. LoL

| Too funny! I am always telling the boys to "back up" from the oven or car doors. When we were out watching a soccer game and the coach bellowed, "Get back! Get back!" to the players, Max and Teddy started walking backwards, lol.

| hahah funny stories I sometimes get the words "down" and "off" mixed up so when Geno jumped onto the end table from the couch, I yelled "down!" and he laid down on the end table. I was like "oops good job but seriously, get off the end table" haha
