| We have missed Yorkie Talking :] Bailey and I have not been on here in a few months due to all of the changes going on in my life! But we are glad to be back on here and have missed looking at all the cute pics of everyone's yorkies! We moved back to my hometown in GA, and are living with my mom for a while now. Bailey now has 5 toy poodle family members that she lives with now, when it used to be only her. That took some adjusting, but they are really cute all playing together! She's actually kind of the bully though! Anyways, she is very happy and soo spoiled! This is her first Christmas with me, and im SOO excited about it!! I got her last year as a Christmas present from my boyfriend 2 days after Christmas!! Bailey has not been fixed yet, and I made her the appointment yesterday to have her spayed on Jan. 11th. I really don't want to do that to her, but I think it's what's best. It is really expensive! I was wondering how much on average do people usually spend to have their females spayed? They told me it will be around $230. I'm so nervous about it :/ I'll attach a recent pic of Bailey to this post! :]

| I hope you and Bailey have a wonderful 1st Christmas together and how great that she has playmates. As far as the spaying, the price youve been quoted isnt really bad in comparison to the prices Ive heard of other people paying elsewhere. My Vet is really really reasonable and it still costs about $170 for a dog spay. A spay is usually more expensive than a neuter because there is more involved and alot of the money you are paying is for the anesthesia. I know It seems to me vet costs are a little high also but there is so much they have in it for operations

| That sounds pretty reasonable for a spay. It is definitely worth it to spay her though... It will reduce her risk of cancer and ensure that there are no accidental pregnancies. I'm glad to see that you're back! Bailey is looking cute in her pjs

| I have been doing my research today and found another vet, which i'd almost prefer to take her to (possibly even permanently). They explained to me all of my options with the traditional way and the laser surgery. I think I am leaning towards the laser surgery. Anything that will cause her less pain is perfect to me! The total for the laser procedure, including all the pre-op tests that they run is $227. This is actually a few bucks cheaper than the other vet i looked at and that was for the regular procedure. So I'm going to make my decision today.
