Liquid Medicine Zoey's been having a bit of diarrhea the past couple days so I decided to give her some anti diarrhea meds this morning. I've forgotten how much she hates liquid meds. She fights like anything when I try to use the syringe and I'm worried about doing more harm then good if I force it too much. Is there any easier way to do this? I've read some of the posts and tried most of them in the past with not much luck. Is there a pill type for anti diarrhea?? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I use Honest kitchens Perfect form, and you just mix with a little water and add to their food, and my two dogs have eaten it right up. Even the one who hates medicine.

| What is the medicine? Why not just call the vet who prescribed it and ask if it is in pill form?

Lovetodream: Totally forgot about pumpkin... I will be picking some up tonight. Farleys: Will check that out tonight. Ladyjane: The med I have is K-pectin. I was going to pick up some science diet/royal canine GI canned food and talk to the vet in person after work. Her diarrhea seems on/off type throughout the day and she shows no other signs of being 'sick'. I think it's the new snack I got them recently that's causing the problem. Of course, I cut off ALL snacks since I notice the diarrhea. Magnus is fine but than, he's 3x her weight/size and I think his tummy is tougher. Just wanted to see if there was a better way to feed liquid meds if that's what the vet instructs. I like being prepared.

LOL No kidding. And it's hard to pry & keep that tiny mouth open. I was even thinking of maybe freezing it like small ice cube and see if I can get her to swallow it like a pill. -_-

PUMPKIN! Try it, takes it all up. Bailey has had some rough potty expierences in the past... Before we got pumpkin to clear her anal glands(bad ones) we fed her cooked rice with boiled chicken. That helped and Bailey LOVED it. She still does, even if it isn't bad poopies. Try those. Keep us updated! P.S.- We had a little syringe in the drawer and Bailey was next to us, so we took her water and put the syringe in it and fed her the water... Bailey would open her mouth and we would shoot the water in there. LOL so funny. When ever we get that out she LOVES it.
