| How do I turn it off!! As a lot of you know I lost my little Kiwi back in Sept, ever since then I have to admit I have been a bit over protective of Lola. She goes everywhere with us, she doesn't even get watched by anyone else! Well today for the first time Lola is going for a sleepover!! And I have soo much anxiety I feel like I'm going to be sick! Me and my DH are going to Foxwoods (a casino) in about an hour and we are dropping off Lola at his cousins (and my dear friend) house. We are very close and she saw what we went through with losing Kiwi so I know Lola will be in the best hands, I have packed up all of her toys/bed/food/clothes/leash/harness and written out a schedule for her so she knows when Lola needs to go out and what/when to feed her but...I still feel anxious!! How do I turn it off!! All I keep thinking is what if something happens? What if she won't eat? What if she's scarred..shes never been away from us before...Ahhhhh!!!!! My DH is great, he has been very encouraging, keeps telling me Lola loves his cousin and her daughter, she'll be fine, you can call and check on her, etc.. Well I guess this is the end of my rant...I need to go finish packing.. I wish this feeling would just go away... Wish me luck!!

| I know that feeling all too well. Plese go and have fun with your hubby. I know that Lola will be just fine. You can always call and check on her, also you can have your friend put the phone up Lola's ear so she can hear you talking to her.

| It is OK. We do understand. Try to have fun and let God and your friend keep watch for a little while. My Granny said "Babies need a break from new mommies, so they can be spoiled by someone else. It makes the baby's world a bigger better place."

| So sorry to read off Kiwi's loss, but it sounds as if Lola will be in great hands, and you thought of everything. Even if you're retired, you can't spend every minute with your Yorkie(s), so this sounds like a good test for you. Think how much better you will feel after you get back from the Casino with all those winnings (on not) and are reunited with her? Personally, I dont like talking to my guys through the phone when I am out of town as Vicky suggested. IMO, It just excites them and they go looking for us missing humans and I think it makes them more anxious, but that is a personal choice for sure. You can at least call your cousin and check up on her even if you don't let her hear your voice. |
