| attached to only me My little guy is so attached to me. He will follow me around the house everywhere. He will lay on the couch with my 17 year old daughter sometimes but as soon as i walk by he is right with me again. My husband tries to get him to set with him but he wont. He is all ways right with me. How can i get him to like them. They love him and want to snuggle with him to. He will let them play with him tho. He won't let them pick him up. He will back away from them. Please help. |

| Have them feed him, treat him and take him on walks etc that will build trust. It is common for them to favor one person though

| I agree with Chachi...have them give him treats, play fetch, belly rubs...anything he enjoys doing, the rest of the family do with him, so he enjoys his time with them. I have the opposite situation. ZoE follows me everywhere & wants to be with me constantly...UNTIL my kids come home from college for a visit, then she is attached like glue to them.

| Thanks I will tell them to give him more attention. He is so darn sweet he is like our new baby. Lol. I may just as attached to him as he is to me. This is our first yorkie. I didn't know how sweet they were or I might would have gave in sooner to getting one. I hope I am not spoiling him to much. |

| A dog will attach it's self to the one who is there with it the most and who feeds it. If they do more for the dog like feeding it and taking it for walks then it may cause him to depend on them more. I am home a good deal of the time with Gracie but when my daughter comes home she gets so happy and wants her to spend time with her but she always comes back to me. She knows that DD is not going to do the things I do for her and that she will soon be on her way out the door again. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Enjoy the love and attention from your baby. My Romeo loves my daughters and the rest of my family -- he will eat, play and snuggle with them even if I am around. At night however, he won't sleep with anyone but me.
