| I handled it by getting my pets spayed/neutered as puppies. Never had this issue and am happy not to ever experience it either. Maybe this is something you should consider as well.

| I don't have this problem and never will, as mine are all spayed. And that is how it is handled.

| Why would you not get them spayed? It is better for them and you. I would talk to your vet.

| Your 2 year old can safely be spayed (actually, could have safely been spayed for a while now), so good news you don't have to deal with it. I don't know if you were misinformed.

| 4.5 and 2 yrs old is not too old to be spayed.

| Get them both spayed and you won't have to deal with it. Better yet, THEY won't have to deal with it. I got Bonnie when she was 6 and had her spayed. No problems, no issues. She recovered just as quickly as Gracie Ruth did when she was spayed at 6 months of age. Bonnie is sooooooo much happier now not having all those hormones raging through her. So age is not an reason.

| Spaying your dog can save their life. Not having your dog fixed makes them so much more likely to develop cancer in their mammary glands. I just had my dog spayed on Friday, and I would suggest everyone does as well unless you really are a very experienced breeder |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Thanks for being honest, I understand, especially when you have two. What state are you located? There are many lowcost spay and nueter clinics around, some charge less than $50.00. Let me know what zip code your in, and I'll give you a list of places.
