| Update: Promise no venting this time ;) Hi everyone, First off I just want to say I huge Thank you to all who posted on my last thread "really need to vent". Thank you all for your kind words and thoughtfullness. I apprecate all the ideas about writing a letter. However I think I will let this one drop. Even though the rude employess added to my grief tremendously I feel like... because it came from 2 different vet clinics it would not have the same effect on them when I write a letter because I don't feel like I should include all of the instances from both clinics in each clinic's letter. ( I hope that makes since I don't always get it out like I intend to.) However I will not be using either of these office's again! I had an awful dream last night about Hope. It was reliving her last few minutes. What's worse is how dreams change what really happens People in them or places.. but the outcome stays the same. I woke up crying. I didn't post about my last baby, Coral, that's her ,my avitar. She was a Silky Terrier that I adopted from a rescue. She was my love and had my heart like no other ever could! She died so sudden and with no warning, leaving a huge whole in my life. I think that is why I jumped into getting Hope so fast... agaisnt my better judgment and promise that I would never get one of my family members Yorkies.I knew that it would lead to heartache. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to have been able to love Hope for even a short time. She deserved it and was special to me in a whole other way. But that leads me to my question: How many of you, after a loss of a pet, find yourself still shopping for them? I was in Ross last night and found my self in the pet section, even putting darling little outfits in my basket. . I find I am happiest when I am shopping for them. Kinda like when you put back something that you really wanted so you can buy something for your kids. LOL So I have decided that's what I will do. I don't know when I will be ready for a new baby there are alot of factors in play right now. I do know that I want to buy from a reputable breeder to avoid heartache. I had already been researching them before I lost Hope. And pretty much decide on your very own BRENY!!!! So I have started making my list and will start purchasing . I know this is only a litttle that i will need but without size of baby or time frame I don;t want to buy anything that could go bad. 1. start putting aside emergency fund (now know just how fast bill add up) 2 Kwigy Bow Carrier ( really wanted one of these for Hope) 3. Xpen 4. washable pee pads 5. carseat 6. toys Like I said this only a start . Again thank you for listening!! |

| Well you have to do what feels right for you to do. I do think that alot of people do what you are doing and just leave and dont say anything. The only problem with that is the vet doesnt acknowlege that a client was offended by something in their office and they may continue to treat other pet owners the same way, But the most important thing is that you find a vet that is qualified and that you feel comfortable with. I wish you luck with that and your search for a new pup

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I'm a real believer in venting and having someone to tell your feelings are valid. I think this is a tremendous stress reliever. Of course, sometimes we are incorrect in our perception of events, but are feelings about those events are what's important, and it's important that someone hears those feelings. Glad you worked out what you need to do and have a plan of action. I think when someone can really listen to us, it's easier for us to figure out what to do that will help us move on. By the way, I have more fun shopping for my babies than I have shopping for anyone. No worries if they will like it or not, all I do is have to please myself, which is hard enough! I bought a car seat and a fishing vest among other things before I got Joey, and it helped me make the commitment. I was leary of making a commitment because of all the pain one experiences when one loses a pet.

| Venting is Good. Like Nancy 1999 said, it does help when someone really listens to us, it helps us resolve the issue and move forward. The beautiful thing about YT is the way we can 'hug' and help each other. I have come to cherish my YT friends and respect them. We don't always agree about the way, or what to do, in every instance and that is ok. Diversity is what makes a balanced and interesting community. I think your list is good. It is fun to make a Baby Album with pictures from day one. All my Yorkies have one. It is a wonderful thing to have. Even Gracie who is my rescue has one. Her first picture is a matted dirty little creature. Her first hair cut down to the skin , all the way to and last month in her new dress with flowing hair , bows and proud tip of her darling head. Princess rhinestone collar, and clean white teeth.

and Bear too! ♥ Donating Member | I still look for toys at when I'm at Petco for Rusty. He was my playful one who loved all oh the toys! I couldn't even touch one of them without him beating me to it and grabbing it! He wasn't much for cuddling on your lap but he would play with you and the toys all day long! I miss him terribly
