| My protector This weekend all the guys left Thanksgiving afternoon for an annual hunting trip. I'm at home alone with Herk as my protector. Did not think much about it at first. My husband told me not to lock Herk up because he would keep watch and let me know if he heard anything. To make a long story short, he did his job. I could not sleep Thurs night. We were both in the den. I was on the sofa and Herk was on the love seat. Around 2 am our chows that guard my husbands shop starting barking. Herk looked up, barked once and laid back down. I looked out, the motion light had not come on and I couldn't see anything. My heart stopped pounding finally. At 2:15, they started barking, motion light comes on, and Herk is going wild. He is running from room to room barking & grawling which I know mean someone is out there. I finally got the nerve to turn the light on that is on my patio. Still I can't see anything. Well a few minutes later, my nut of a neighbor that lives across the street calls and says she saw my light come on and she wanted to let me know it was her in my yard hunting her cat that had escaped. She wanted for me to go down the road to my husbands shop and let her in the gate to hunt her cat. I told you, she is nuts. I go back inside and we get settled down and guess what? She calls at 4am to say she found her cat. I should have let my little man eat her alive I'm so proud of him. |

| My two are protectors too. They jump up and bark at every little thing when Hubby is out , They must sleep with one eye open. But when Daddys home they let him worry about the noise for they are snoreing away. lol |
