Senior Yorkie Talker | Does your baby go everywhere with you? Do you bring your baby everywhere with you or does he/she stay at home alone? We've had a lot going on lately. New baby, new house, new dog. I used to take Bentley literally everywhere I went. I haven't in a while bc its so hard with two babies and a stroller to carry his bag and a diaper bag. I'm thinking now that our youngest is almost 8 months old that I can manage again. I was just curious how many other do this? He has about 5 bags. He usually sleeps or pokes his head out to see what's going on. I put it down and he hops right in. Are there any places you don't take your baby? Just being curious bc I kno I'm not the only one that feels anxious w/o their baby with them at all times. |

| I take mine everywhere I can with me. No resturants or grocery stores. But we live in a small town and she goes into our local gas station with me everyday. We walk in and everyone in there (the older coffee drininking farmers) always say: "theres our girl! Good morning Beautiful" And all bend down so they can each pet her on the head. She has a routine, get pets first, drink of water.... the owner keeps a bowl for her behind the counter, then prances around the store to make sure there is no one else she forgot to say hi to. She goes in here with me without a leash or bag or anything. But everywhere else we go she is always in her bag, most places dont even know i have a dog in my purse. That is why i bought a bag that did not look like a dog bag. |

| Well one of mine is 15 lbs so there is no putting him in a bag and carrying him. We will take ours in car rides like to get take out dinners, starbucks, bank things like that but no bags and going in a store for us. For them to go in with us they are going to be on a leash so your limited to pet supply places and places with outdoor seating

| I take Jackson to a lot of places, anywhere that he CAN be, I usually bring him. However, at 16lbs, he doesn't get carried around, lol. He wouldn't stand for it anyways. He likes to walk. But yes I can see how you would have your hands full! I am a single girl and he is my little man - so I do bring him on errands, like to the bank, gas station, those kinds of trips. We do a pet store visit once a week, dog park a few times a week, dads house a few times a week, etc. He comes with me to most family get togethers and stuff.

| I take ZoE alot of places with me and I have been known to sneak her into stores, restaurants and even a movie theatre in her purse carrier. But, she grew bigger than I expected, and it's a lil hard on the old shoulders. I met my daughter at a mall halfway between her university and our home to take her some of her winter belongings a few weeks ago. We ate at an outdoor cafe and then I popped ZoE in her purse to quickly run into the mall for a few things....and I was exhausted hauling her around on my shoulder, so I don't think I'll be doing that again anytime in the near future. I do take her in the car with me to run all alot of errands, such as: going to the bank, dropping mail at post office, getting take out, etc. and she goes with me to visit my parents and almost all of my friends. I think its good for her to get out and have new stimulations of different sights, smells and sounds.

| Nope. She is too wiggly and load. And even if I could, I wouldn't. IMO, taking a dog everywhere gives them no chance to learn independence. Both dogs go to dog friendly places and Ellie goes on car rides. Relatively though, they almost never go places with me.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Katie Scarlett goes everywhere with us. She has never been left home alone. We tried to 1 time and she was barking like mad the minute we got out the door. We caved in and just couldn't do it. So she goes in the car with us everywhere we go. We take her in all places that allow her. If there is ever anywhere that she cannot go in, one of us stays in the car with her or walk her in a nearby area. Like when I go in Wal Mart/Ross, which are next to one another, my husband walks her in a adjacent park and vice versa. If we are ever going somewhere big (like we went to Ikea a few weeks ago) we take her doggie day care. They love her there. She is the only dog they let walk around everywhere with them while they are talking with customers, in the grooming salon, etc. She is on leash if she goes outside there or other dogs are around, but most dogs are in the kennels or indoor play area. Katie Scarlett is such a people person and loves everyone, the mostly cuddle her and play with her. She does play with the other dogs too though. We try to take her daycare once or twice a week for us to have down time to get errands done and for her to socialize. Of course, I am a stay at home wife and we have no kids, so this lifestyle suits us. If I could, I'd take her every single place I go in a bag, but so many places around here simply will not allow it. She has been left alone in the car in her Snoozer car seat maybe 3 times and only for a max of 15 minutes. We leave the car running with air/heat/radio and lock it with our other set of keys from the outside. We don't like to do that though. I have left her at home alone with my parents and she did pretty good. But she has never been completely alone except for maybe at the daycare when we had to board her overnight. She is spoiled, I know, but I just enjoy her company so much, I want her with me all the time.

| Nope, not everywhere! I have to go to too many places that aren't pet-friendly, like work and class. If I am out shopping or running a lot of errands, he stays home. If I have to run just a couple of errands (getting gas, going to the bank), he usually comes with me. I do take him to tons of pet-friendly places: parks, pet stores, events, friend/family's houses. Usually he walks; occasionally I'll use a bag/carrier. I am very lucky to have my brother willing to "babysit" Levi while I'm gone. He's rarely left alone for more than a few hours per day. He is happy to be able to go places with me, but he is also perfectly fine to stay home by himself for a bit. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Around here there's usually a pet friendly option. So we could take him everywhere. When I was in Louisiana we were in a small town and he was allowed everywhere. He has recently gotten very divaish and so I don't take him to friends houses if they have dogs often. He refuses to play with them and just yaps and growls the entire time. Its pretty draining for me to have to try to calm him and keep the two babies happy as well. Actually, the same applies for walks. I've thought seriously about putting him in his bag when we walk our other dog bc he just seems so stressed walking. Anything and everything sets him off. And dog parks? Forget that. He thinks he's huge and is such a little diva. Well, he's actually a brat. Haha! I'm sure that's my fault for spoiling him so much. I just don't feel safe at dog parks with him. He's so little. It seems like everyone is so much bigger than he is and it makes me nervous. If an excited little dog was playing and ran into him or something it could really hurt him. So with all of this he just hasn't been getting out much. I just don't know how odd it would be to go for our walks in the evenings with him in his bag. Id open it so he could pop out to see everything. I'm thinking he may feel more secure in it. He def gets enough excersise in the house and back yard so that's not a concern I really have. Just want to make him happy and not have him so stressed walking. At 1 1/2 years old I think he is just a one person dog and other dogs and people just really stress him out. I hate that bc I'm sure I must have done something when he was younger to have caused that. We socialized him tho. He went through 24 weeks of training. Sorry for rambling. I guess I'm feeling like a bad yorkie mama today. |

| Couver and Khloe get to go a lot of places that most dogs do not. However, they do not go everywhere with us. We both work, but dh comes home at lunch to let them out to potty and interact with them. We take them to a lot of pet friendly places; dog parks, regular parks, pet stores, and stores that allow dogs. We also have taken them to places that aren't so pet friendly so I just zip up their bag. While we do take them a LOT of places, they also get the opportunity to stay home and relax

| Yeah of course my baby goes everywhere with me otherwise Child protective services would be all over me if I left him home in the play yard with the Yorkie/schnauzers. LOL Yorkie used to go everywhere with me, well unless it was a hot day or I was going to be going to grocery store. But after a few places here started cracking down on or changed over to not allowing small dog (they used to say small dogs in carriers only) because some local guy freaking out about discrimination about his big dog mine stay home unless we are going to the park, beach, woods or pet stores, or walks to get kids from school and back etc. We are guilty of violating the city law and taking dogs t the farmers market etc. Oh well they can issue me the $25 ticket when someone snitches me out. I don't act in a manner that causes my dogs to be encroaching on vendors or businesses, or other patrons.

| Yorkies in purse will go. I have four Yorkies and most of the time have at least one with me. Most places know I have a dog and it is ok with them. I do not take them to the grocery store, church, or restaurants that don't have patio dinning. We try to go to places they can go. All of my dogs have been trained to be quiet in their carrier and public places.

| Bailee goes everywhere he can possibly go. I have a purse so he has been in places that he couldn't go without the purse. My husband drives a red Mini Cooper convertible. He takes Bailee to the bank with him with the top down and Bailee's Snoozer car seat beside him in the front seat ~ what a sight!! Friends joke that it is a double 'chick magnet' ~ a sports car and a Yorkie!! Oh ~ we love our Bailee!!
