No Longer a Member | Don't Forget!!! It's the holiday season and given the state of things with the economy be sure to be extra vigilant with any valued items! Keep your house locked, alarm on (if you have one) and if you are traveling from home, ask a neighbor to keep an eye on things. DO NOT LET MAIL STACK UP! It practically screams "House is empty, come on in!" Also, people tend to get desperate around this time of year and Yorkies, and other small dogs are a hot commodity, easily sold for quick cash with no questions asked! It'll be the easiest $200 a thief could make! Also, with the holidays come lots of family members, make sure everyone is aware of the little ones so kids don't accidentally leave the door open "just long enough" We all know how quick these pups can go off having their own winter adventure! And since I'll be traveling, it reminded me to update Rizzo's Microchip information, if it has been a while since you last updated your contact info it may be a good idea to check to see what you have posted out there. If you have your breeder listed make sure to contact them to ensure the information is up to date. Some people are really great and will try to get your puppy back to you, but they can only do so much with what they have. Happy Thanksgiving and Winter holidays! : holiday2: |

| I'm leaving out of town with my baby tomorrow and have been putting off MicroChip. I scheduled it for today a few minutes ago. Thanks for the reminder. I would hate to come back to my hotel room only to find the cleaning lady wanted my puppy and took it. I have been having nightmares about that!

Great and timely thread. Do anything you can to make the removal of crate from room difficult. DO NOT DISTURB sign on door. Padlock on crate. I've also put pup in crate in washroom bathtub and drew the shower curtain. Won't help if pup barks, but what can you tell , you might get lucky and pup would sleep through a cat burglar's rifling through the room. The best safety is not to leave pup alone, when hubby and I travel we order in, or one of us goes out to pick up food. Although truly in summertime we eat at motel, we bring our own food and BBQ, we also have an electric two ring burner that we can cook on too. When travelling alone, I've been known to sneak pup into restuarant in a purse.

| I'll be at Sea World one of the days, that's the only time he will be alone but he will be in the room with my other dog ChiChi as well. I'm going to bring my laptop with camera and set up a QiK session so I can see what's going on in the room the whole time. I wish I could sneak him into SeaWorld with me The idea of leaving the crate in the shower is a great one! I've also decided not to let any staff see the dogs too and I will sneak them in and out even though it is a dog friendly hotel. I've figured out all the restaurants I'm going to and they will all be pet friendly ones.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Keep your cars locked and valuables out of sight, too. Phones, iPods, navigation systems are all hot items being stolen out of cars right now. Take them with you or lock them in your trunk, even when you are at home. It goes without saying, don't leave the dog in the car if you are traveling with them.

| Thanks for the tips! I would never leave my dogs unattended away from home. I wouldn't have a good time because I would worry about them too much. As a result, they don't get to go as many places as they would like.

| I read that it only takes just a few seconds for a car burglar to bust out your window and steal your valuables, before anyone even knows what's happened. Also, please don't let anyone see you put your valuables in your trunk. They can pop your trunk with a crowbar just like that.

The Sea World tickets are free, but I know my girlfriend is dying to go again. Maybe we can just stay a little while, leave, check the dogs, go back. The streaming video option is an awesome idea, I'm going to make sure I get it working correctly tonight. It streams and records to the internet. Eek, it may be a huge stream though, will see! If I do, I'll leave the link up for everyone to watch Jimmy and ChiChi in their room!

| Looks like they do, it's outdoors. Here is the description: The only thing I don't like is that Jimmy is a little under 5 months old and I'm sure he will be cold. I do have his own kennel which I guess I can put in the kennel and ChiChi can be there to keep him warm too....Decisions decisions.... SeaWorld provides a pet facility for $10 on a first-come, first-serve basis. SeaWorld is not responsible for the pet. Kennels are approximately 4ft by 8ft and are outside under some coverage. You must bring your own bowls and food. The pet owner may use the water available onsite and may visit their pet throughout the day, as they desire.
