| Do your male yorkies get along well together? Does anyone have 2 male yorkies? How do they get along? I'd like a companion dog for Copper. I'm thinking another boy. Love to hear anyone's stories or comments!

| Yep! They team up against the schnauzer female! In the instances they have not it was really IMHO more to do with their backgrounds-both have issues due to bad people. Scoobers play fights with me it freaked Elvis out and Elvis wigged out on Scoobers...we no longer do that with Elvis around or able to get to Scoobers. Elvis is unaltered Scoobers is the only other time we had drama was with a female in heat around...can't wait to have two altered males. But with no female in heat or any "protect mom" they're best buds actually. Scoobers didn't like other dogs touching him-he had severe dog aggression when I first got him once that was dealt with he still would growl get up and move if another dog tried to pack snuggle or lay down too close to where he was sleeping.I've since caught Scoobers letting Elvis snuggle him...he still will moan and move away from Princess. I don't think the opposite sex coupling of dogs really is the rule of thumb but I cannot disregard the above as it's my experience. I'd just have both neutered.

| I have no problem with my two guys Rubin 8 years old is neutered and Abba is 8 mo.s old. Rubin got along beautifully with Noah (RIP). But Rubin did fight with Zacky. When I got married, Noah was 15 yrs old, and Rubin was 5yrs old and Zacky was a young adult Yorkie stud. Zacky was very dominate with both my boys). I think neutered males mostly get along very well. Rubin never fights with neutered fosters.

| I dont have two yorkies, only 1, but i do have 4 dogs total. A male neutered yorkie, male neutered jack / rat terrier mix, male neutered puggle, and male neutered Labrador. They are all males, the three small dogs are all pretty close in age, except the labrador, he is only 8 months old. all the little dogs are 4, and 4 1/2. Anyway, they all get along!!!!! |

| I brought home Smokey at 6 months old when Chip was 9 months. At first Chip HATED Smokey, but once they figured out who is "dominant" between the two, they get along great. Smokey has been with us 4 years and they are good friends.

YT 1000 Club Member | I have 2 neutered boys that are brothers. they occassionally will get in a tussle when one tries to act macho but I chalk that up to sibling rivalry. I am also dog sitting for a very dear friend and have 3 of her dogs here and one is my puppies Sire so he is intact. But I have to say not one disagreement between the boys.
