| Pit bull attack Just found out my step sisters yorkie was attacked by two pitbulls last night. I feel sorry for this little baby. He was taken to the er vet and he had to have surgery, extensive wounds and his intestines was literally hanging out. They did surgery and did not think he would make it the night but he surprised everyone and did. He will be there for quite some time. It really angers me that two pitbulls were on the loose and second that my step sister let Mosby out with no leash or fenced in yard. We don't get along really but some common sense may have been able to prevent this tragedy. Please keep this little guy in your prayers and I will update when I hear something. Thanks for listening

| So sad!!!! hate these kind of stories. I know i shouldnt say this, cause not all pit bulls are bad. But i dont like them. I have met some nice ones. But it makes me furious when i see one loose. They cause soo much damage , you would think people would be more careful. |

| This is so troubling. I feel that all pet owners should control their pets. I will pray for a full recovery. |

| How sad I hope he pulls through... This is why my two are never off leash outside of a fenced area. It's also why the first thing we did when we moved into our new house was to fence the entire property. You just never know what can happen.

Senior Yorkie Talker | OMG... How horriable! That is just so horrible, is anything going to be done with the pit bulls? I hope that someone will have to pay... Like someone said I agree pit bulls are not my favorite, they have the worst track record!! The little fur baby is in my thoughts and prayers!!

| It's so sad, but not suprising to me. So many pet owners just don't give a tinkers. Many states have enacted laws against pit bulls now, but until the real culprits (owners) are made to pay, I feel it's useless to ban certain breeds of dogs. We had a lovely little doxie when I was girl that was so tiny and such a sweet boy, but a neighbor's German shepard attacked and killed him. This dog would actually jump on the hood's of cars when they pulled up to the stop sign on the street in front of their yard! My mother was at work, and my older brother had accidently left a door ajar enough for him to escape! What a shame for the poor baby! No pet should be off leash and alone when outside in a close neighborhood setting, and especially a breed this small.I will be sending healing thoughts and prayers for the little angel! |

I'm sick of pits being known as a bad breed and sick of hearing about them being responsible for attacks. So sick of irresponsibility and them being so over bred. FYI all they aren't the most aggressive of dog they require specialty training, and due to their availability and image we get all kinds of irresponsible people owning, breeding and letting them loose literally. There is an exception with the blues though and a neurological issue being found now. Off my sick of podium on pits... I'm so sorry this happened to your sister's dog! There is no reason this should ever happen! Yorkies are such little tough dogs we always seem them in their dresses and and bows and forget these lil guys and gals are such little fighters when something like this happens. They may not have expected Mosby to pull through but it just goes to show you how reliant Yorkies are, if Mosby made it this far then has a good chance! Totally sending positive energy her way! Give her hugs for all of us she must be devastated. Hopefully this will not cause her to develop at a hatred.

| How awful I hope the little one will be okay, and that the big dogs' owner will be punished. Mosby may have been off-leash, and that's bad, but those bigger dogs being off leash is so much worse, as they have a high prey-drive and will go after anything small and furry Agh, when are folks going to learn to keep their dogs leashed, big and small?!?! Praying for Mosby
