| Callie's surgery Callie gets her LP surgery today on her right leg. I am freaking out pretty bad but I haven't had Callie away from me for the night sense she was probably a year old. Any prayers and good thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I will try to update everyone as soon as the surgeon calls me to tell me how it went. My mom is picking me and Callie up at 7am and then we are heading to the orthopedic surgeons office/vet hospital where Callie has to be between 8am and 8:30am. I maybe a drama queen but I am starting to cry a little typing this.

| Sending hugs and prayers for you and Callie ((hugs)). I know how worried you must be, you wouldn't be a good mommy if you didn't worry. I hope today goes by fast for you and I am sure Callie will do great. Just think she won't be in pain after she recovers. You are a good mommy making sure Callie gets the treatment she needs.

| I can understand being worried, I would be, too. Callie will feel so much better when she's all healed after the surgery. You are such a good mom to do this for her. I'll keep you both in my prayers today!

| Taylor, I will be praying for little Callie that she does great during the procedure and has a completely uneventful post-op night tonight. Keep us posted when you know she is out of surgery and awake. Can you see her today?

| You are NOT a drama queen. That is your baby and I just know you are feeling so worried about scared now, understandably. I remember when I took Jackson to the vet for a GI upset, I was not prepared at ALL for them to tell me he had to stay there overnight. I immediately welled up and waited until the doctor left the room to just cry and say goodbye to Jackson. I had left him overnight before but only at my fathers house, never anywhere else. He's super super attached to me, as I am sure Callie is to you, and I just felt like an awful pet parent. Just know that you are helping her and she will feel like a brand new dog in a few weeks when she is out of pain! Good luck with everything. Keep yourself calm, I know it's going to be hard, but it will be worth it to have her in your arms again tomorrow.

| Update Callie made it through her surgery! The surgeon said it was a successful surgery! I think the hardest thing I didn't realize I was going to have to do was that I had to chose whether I wanted them to make the best choice for her if they couldn't get in touch with me or if I wanted them to do nothing and I chose do what they thought best if they could not get in touch with me. Then I had to chose for them to revive her if her heart stopped or to not revive her and I chose revive her. It made my stomach sick to sign that and think about it. I was telling the nice lady checking us in that Callie gets very cold easily and she said they have warmers under blankets where they keep them and that they also cover them up and that made me feel so much better because I was so scared she was gonna freeze. I get to pick her up tomorrow at 3pm. Tonight I am going to get her play pen ready and get her crate in my room ready.
