| Just Found a Yorkie!! Need Help!! I just found a little female yorkie....she's maybe 3 lbs. I have a male yorkie 4 lbs. I took her to the vet to see if she had a microchip....no luck. I gave her a bath because she was a little dirty but seems to be taken care of. she's groomed. I'm not sure on her age but I'd say 1-3 years old. I looked on cragslist to see if any adds have been placed....and checked the gas stations up the street for flyers. I been checking lost dog adds online. I am going to put a flyer up at a few places later today but wanted to see if anyone had advice on where else to look for her owner. I even drove around with her looking for people looking for her.

| You might try your local police station or if you have a local humane society, just to check to see if anyone reported a missing yorkie. I know I would be frantic if mine were ever lost. Thank you so much for looking for her owners. I would be eternally grateful to you for returning mine to me.

| Just called the SPCA they have no reports of her missing. It's so sad, she is such a sweet little girl.

| found little yorkie I would ask for proof of ownership before giving her to someone that makes claims to own her.. many dogfighting rings get their bait dogs this way...(found ads) also the "free to good homes" adds in the paper or on the side of the road... if they are the owner, they will have photos and/or vet bills for her... roxanne

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Bless her! Poor little thing, but that is great of you to take her in and take care of her. I hope you can find the owner. I would be so sick if I lost Katie Scarlett! I was thinking to check with the local police station, vets, humane society too. Good luck!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I would be going nuts, frantic trying to find my babies ! I cant imagine that there are no lost Yorkie reports. If you do put up ads or any type of advertising I would not put pacific things about her on it. I would not list her size, weight or color. Be sure that whom ever contacts you has to identify her instead of just taking the information right off of the flyer. I would hate to see her get into the wrong hands. Or to someone just looking for a free Yorkie !

| Years ago, we found a beautiful husky. You could see that he was very well taken care of but he had no collar or ID. So I put an ad in the paper for the next day and I also called my vets office. That night a woman called because the vet gave them my phone #. Her and her husband came to get him and you could tell they were the owners by the way the dog ran to them and kissed them. He had gotten out of the house because one of their doors wasn't closed all the way. They were so happy to be reunited with him. I refused a reward but they gave it to my boys. I was glad that they were back together again. They even gave me their address if we ever wanted to visit them. Maybe you could contact the vets in your area to see if anyone reported their dog missing. I'm sure the owners would be thrilled that their dog was found and being taken care of. Good luck! |

| Oh, I hope you can re-unite her with her owner! Animal Control will take the report and tell you what to do. Good luck and thank you for looking after her. What a loving and caring kind thing to do for this poor little girl.

| If you put up flyers do not put pictures on it.... the owner should be able to describe the dog in detail. I found a dog a few months back and posted posters with just the dogs descriptions. I reunited the dog and owner within 3 hours. She described the dog, said it's name, and described the collar in detail. This will prevent someone trying to take the dog without proving they own it.
