| I brush Kaos' teeth 2-3 times a week, and it helped a lot. They also have breath spray, and dental chews. I am not 100% on which is the best brand though. I also use the Kong Breath Stuff n Easy Treat Paste. It is good if your pup loves kongs.

| I'm not sure how old she is, but I wonder if she might have some retained baby teeth...

| I just looked. If this is the same pup that was born in 2004, when was the last time her teeth were cleaned? She may have an infected tooth. If so, this could be dangerous to her health, as well as her discomfort. Brushing teeth and a dental spray are a great help to keep the breath fresh.

| Geno's breath actually doesn't smell bad. It just smells like dog food which I don't mind. When he does eat or chew on things that give him bad breath, I give him a greenie. I know some YTers don't like to give their furbabies greenies because of previous issues with the company but we haven't had any problems. Geno really likes them and we only give him one a day, if that.

| brushing your dogs teeth can do wonders! Maybe your dog needs a dental tho. I have also seen commercials for some breath sprays that slowly break down tartar, but I don't know if they work. Halitosis generally should be assessed by a vet. good luck! |

| Regular brushing but regular dental cleaning by a vet, too. You can brush brush brush but if you have a Yorkie who is prone to gum/dental disease, sometimes brushing just isn't enough.

| First you probably need to have the vet check and make sure there is no infections and see if the vet recommends a dental. After that I would start brushing at least once a week.

Senior Yorkie Talker | We went to the vet today and had x-rays. Healthy teeth minus one, had it pulled and she has antibiotics to prevent infection. I was given a tooth paste for her, so I will be brushing 2-4 times a week. Greenies are an option, she loved those as a pup! Thanks everyone for the advice!
