| No more lost dogs, ever! Really? Tagg the Pet Tracker | Dog Tracking Systems with Advanced GPS Below is their blurb I'm thinking I want this-but on a harness because it looks 1) large for a Yorkie-lightweight but large 2) collars don't do well for a Yorkie 3) I need 6 of them, one for each dog and one for each kid! How the Tagg™ System Works The Tagg pet tracking system uses advanced GPS tracking technology to allow you to see where your dog is and be notified if he or she wanders off. The lightweight tracker attaches to your dog's existing collar, and is designed to be worn at all times, even while swimming. Three Step Set-Up Once you order our GPS dog tracker, you're only three easy steps from having it up and running. The first step can even be completed before you receive your dog location system. First, create your account. Once you receive Tagg - The Pet Tracker, activate it. And finally, set up your Tagg zone, "a geofence," for your dog. Dog Collar Attachment The Tagg tracker securely attaches to your dog's collar with a two-piece clip. Once the collar clip assembly is attached, putting on the pet GPS device is a snap. If your dog has multiple collars, we recommend one set-up per collar. Notifications From texts about your dog leaving the Tagg zone to emails that tell you it's time to charge your GPS tracker, Tagg notifications make it the most efficient dog GPS tracking system on the market.

| I looked at this shortly after getting ZoE when I was researching various microchips, but as it states on their website, "Tagg - The Pet Tracker system is only recommended for dogs that weigh 10lbs or more " it isn't appropriate for yorkies. I wonder if a harness version would better suit a smaller dog...but then most people don't keep harnesses on their pups 24/7.

| Mine get one on everytime before leaving the house, even to potty but that doesn't protect from the spontaneous door bolt or the while I wasn't home darn it. Okay this company needs a new improved small dog version now!

| Explore Cats I saw this company has one for cat's why can't they make it work on dogs too then? I like the idea of getting something from the AKC better anyways actually: SpotLite GPS is Here!

| Not to stir the pot (hehe Halloween) but if he is lost and someone removes the gps and tosses it, you will not find him/her. If I were to use it I think I would still microchip.

| If they have this GPS tracking technology, is there not a way to include such a thing in a micro-chip? I'm sure some day it'll happen, but I guess until then... It also makes no sense to me to have it on a collar, cause a lot of lost dogs also don't have their collars on them. Cool technology though

| I saw this a few weeks back and was really interested. A few others I had seen in the past had a monthly service fee... is this one different? I was considering this a while back because we have 90 acres of farmland behind us and Jackson minds really well but I still always keep him on a 50' lead anyways, but this may give peace of mind, if I could log on to my cell phone and see exactly where he was (don't get the wrong idea -- it wouldn't be to just let my dog off leash and relying on it to keep him safe or anything). But yeah as far as I can tell you can set a boundary and the minute the dog goes out of it, it alerts you? Interesting technology, but not sure if it's worth the $$$ at the moment. I hope they one day have it available to do like microchips. I believe the issue with this is that it's an active device vs. a passive chip. An active device like GPS transmitter needs a battery, whereas a dog chip doesn't.

| I'm still looking it over and up but huh good point, deonk1, why not just microchip our dog with an added GPS...well technology evades us at the moment and geez. ...if we had the capability WOW the conspiracy nutters would be freaking out! I'd honestly be a bit paranoid but then again...seriously like 'the government, powers that be, they' care where I go...they ignore my protest , petitions & letters already...and I send those right to them. No in all seriousiness it may be like one of those things were we have the technology and the innovation it's just not bee worked out yet and for good reason, liek the idea about giving dogs a one time sterilization pill-well first off birth control being used in oral form is killing fish populations AND sterilizing fish population leading to their eventual extinction at this rate, it could be used on people so human rights advocates are freaked out over it and where efforts are being made and experimented on in this way, it's been no less than lethal.
