Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I have GREAT news!!!!! (about the place we got Bandit) Sherry Lynn just sent me the best PM ever!! Her hubby went to pick up the doggies from the groomer and he saw a bunch of people pickiting the store we got Bandit from!!! They were all against puppy mills!!! I'm sooo happy that they are doing something. We were going to organize something, but part of the agreement to getting the money back was that we couldn't bad-mouth them. If we had known about it we definetly would have been there. I'm so glad that the public is starting to open there eyes and will maybe drive some people away from buying from that store...and all pet stores around the world!!!!!

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | The vet said it was liver shunt. We actually had to have him put to sleep, but either way he wouldn't have survived the night. He was way to small to do the surgery on He went into convulsions and seziures that lasted hours long, so in the long run..the vet said it was for the best to get him out of the pain he was in.

| pup Wow. What a horrible story. I'm so sorry for your loss. You had him in just enough time to fall in love. I hate puppymills. Girl, you should find out who did the march and go to the next one. Just put on a hat and hide your face with a sign. It will be for the memory of Bandit and his poor mother who is probably suffering in a cage pregnant. I wish no one would have to go through what Bandit and your family did. |

| Megan, that is wonderful news. I know you would hate to see someone else go through the heartache you and your family went through.

| I remember how painful it was for you to lose little Bandit, so I'm very glad to hear about the pickets. The more the better.

| Megan, I am so sorry about Bandit, I had no idea. Hopefully something can and will be done so that others won't have to suffer like you did.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I LOVE hearing that !! I wish we could all picket EVERY PET STORE OUT THERE until they were banned from selling live animals - I know you still miss Bandit Megan but seeing that is a great tribute to his memory - you just know he's smiling knowing people are against that awful store he was sold in |

| At the time neither of us was aware of puppymills having bought our other dogs from breeders, but the story goes... My husband bought our Eskie Fiona (Fifi - who is his little darling!) from the same place. He bought her on Saturday (9/8/01) and brought home this playful little darling, and by Sunday afternoon she was the sickest little thing you could ever imagine!! I'll never forget watching the 9/11 mess on the TV (and smelling the towers burn from my backyard!) while holding that poor sweet little thing as she clung to life that week. She had kennel cough and had to be feed antibiotics, nutical and karo syrup with water from a dropper. We really didn't she would survive... My husband being a typical NYC businessman, can be very assertive and isn't one to take 'no' for an answer, ended up going head-to-head with the same A$$hole that Megan's mom, Teri, ended up fighting with. Bottom line, we got our vet bills paid, we now have a wonderful MUCH appreciated pet, and I learned the hard way what a puppymill is! Hubby likes to go into the store (they advertise, and their sales pitch is that they only buy the dogs from small in-home breeders-HA!!) and loudly ask all the wrong questions and make comments about stories he's heard just to ruin any potential sales. There is such a high turn over in staff there that no one has caught on yet! Today as he was driving by and saw the picketers, he honked and waved out the sunroof, but didn't stop! He could have done so much more damage if he'd had the time!!! He knew better than to tell me until after the fact, or I would have been out there in the middle of it, on the front page of the newspaper, and in trouble with my job because I'm supposed to be on bedrest!! Sorry so long, but as with Megan, it's a passionate subject with me! Here is our little puppymill girl. Isn't she beautiful!!
