| A yorkie coat question ... Well I haven't exactly found the answer to my question, but I was just wondering if my 9 month old yorkie's (back) is ever going to turn silver/grey? I know that both of her parents are silver & gold, so thats what I was expecting. But I also know that they can get colors that their grandparents may have had. & someone told me if that their coat hasn't started to change by 6 months, much less 9 months on her back , that , that is probably the color they will keep. Is that true ? Nevertheless I will love her regardless I've also attached a picture from a couple months ago , but she doesn't look to much different from it . Hope you guys like it

| I've read on here that a yorkie's coat can change up until 3 years of age! But i don't know about a 9 month old not starting to change at all... has the head started changing? because thats normally the first visible change, and have you lifted up the Back hair to see if there is any silver under the black hair?

| I have also read that a Yorkie's coat can change up to 3yrs old as well. My Kiwi's fur started growing in silver around 7-8 months. Your little one is a cutie!

| Hey everyone first I want to apologize for the picture not being there, I thought it uploaded , but I guess for some reason it didn't & now it's telling me that it to big, which is odd because I've never had that problem before here's a link to one of my other threads , though you can't see much of the coat on her back, but that is basically what she looks like now http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...rkie-girl.html Quote:

| i've always found the most noticeable colour change (apart from the head) is if you brush upwards on the back thigh and check the roots... poppet has been s.b on her back for a fair few months (she's 9 months to) but her head hair is only turning to proper gold now- very slowly! from the 1st pic on your other thread (prob just the way you are holding her) it does look to me she had started to change a little, but i'm assuming you'd have noticed that... it could be she is just a late bloomer, but it could be just as possible that she will just stay black&tan... she looks like a little darlin anyways! swap ya!? lol
