| I am so bummed out! They took our work from home day away. I've been working from home every Wednesday for the last 4 yrs. At the most Brandi is home alone two days in a row for 9 hrs a day. Now that I will be working at the office 5 days in a row, I am a little concerned on how she will take it. We have been doing this routine for 4 and half yrs. She was so used to the routine that on the days I had to go into the office, she wouldn't even bother getting out of bed. She would just get up, eat her breakfast, potty and go back to bed. On the days I was home, she'd stay up with me after breakfast and potty and then go lay go on the couch until it was time for our lunchtime walk. I'm so hoping she will be okay and not have any behavioral issues. Doggy daycare is not a option at this time. However I was thinking about maybe having someone go to the house around lunch time. I can't do it because I work about 25 miles away from home. Oh well at least I still have a job. |

| I d. Me, her and the cat play tag when i get home as well as go for walks (weather permitting). I wish I was able to get her a yorkie brother or sister to keep her company but I can't take on a 3rd pet at this time. I'm sure she'll be okay. I'll just have to fire up the old dusty webcam again to make sure she's adjusting okay. At least that way I can see what she is doing and try to make some corrections if needed. |

| That's too bad that you can't be there with her. I know it's hard, but I'm sure she'll be ok. She will get used to the new routine and probably a lot faster than you will.

| This economy has affected everyone. Being retired, I try to save money in little ways. I no longer have a land line, watch my electric use much closer, read the paper on line, wash only full loads, eat out much less often, drink tea instead of sodas, do my own nails and try to prethink car trips to include all I can, to save gas. Your sweet Brandi will prob. adjust pretty quickly. Please Don't feel guilty over something you Did Not choose to do. Like you said, at least you still have a job. I like your attitude of looking for the blessings, I try to do that too.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | She will adjust. Just make sure to spend some extra time with her once the schedule change happens. Eventually she will get used to it. Stinks but it's better that you still have a job. Maybe you can have a friend or neighbor look in on her a bit. Maybe leave the tv on animal planet.

| They say it's just temporary until we can catch up on our workload. We have some many projects coming up where we need to be there. It sucks but I am happy to still have a job. I also save like crazy, my expenses are very low right now so I am able to sock away a good chunk every month. But the little ones need to go to the vet and Brandi will probably have to get her teeth cleaned and maybe pulled. My cat Zoey is 13 yrs old and she's on a special diet. Her kidneys maybe failing so the only thing that can be done at this point is to keep her on this very expensive diet. But she's not in any pain and is actually quite active. I know Brandi will be okay. The cat will definitely be okay.....she likes it better when I'm not there anyway except to change her litter and feed. |

YT 1000 Club Member | I feel your pain but you are approaching this positively - you are still employed. I have been working from home exclusively for the past 6 years and it's often crossed my mind "how would Romeo handle being alone if I had to go back to working at an office?" Let's pray that your furbaby adjusts quickly and that your working from the office is temporary.

| This makes me thankful that 1. We own our own business. 2. Said business office is literally 3 blocks from my house, so I can come home anytime I need/want to, and then pop back over to the office if needed. 3. I can take my little ones to work with me. They love to go to "work" and get excited when I tell them to get ready to go to work. If you worked for me, you could bring your dog to work lol. I think she'll adjust. Like others said, just give her lots of loving while you're home, and make the time together special.

| I was home since I brought Princess home as a pup & started working in August (Thank God). It took her a bit to adjust but the biggest difference is her demanding more play time in the evenings when I've learned to sit & relax! I've been containing her for the first time ever & she's actually going in with practically no coercion. I think she just had to learn I'd be back & now she knows. I had to leave in the middle of our night-4:30-so I think she was really confused. But I think Brandi will adjust fine and she already knows the part about being able to depend on you to return & will learn the new way in no time.

YT Addict | Maybe you could look into a doggie day care and bring her there on Wednesday. She would still only be alone the 2 days in a row and probably have a blast on Wednesdays. Mine hate when I leave for work and I hate leaving them. But what can you do. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | She will adjust. I bet you will struggle longer than your girl. But as you said it is good to have a job and it allows you to be a wonderful puppy parent. |
