| I Wanted To Scream! Ok, so I was at an appointment to get a little help with our heat bill and I was in a room with at least 20 people. So anyway an hour later there was me, a lady, and a couple left in the room. I was listening in to them talking about their dogs, especially when I heard yorkie, and the woman was telling the couple about her having a mix breed (dont remember what breed) that was 50 some pounds and a yorkie. She commented that the mix breed she paid 100.00 for and the yorkie ( in my eyes she was lucky) was given to her for free. She was saying that there was something wrong with the yorkie and that the vet said that it needed surgery, or it would eventually die, and that it was going to cost a couple hundred dollars. She then said that she was NOT going to get the surgery done because she had already paid a $75.00 vet bill and that she refused to pay so much for a dog that only weighed 5 pounds. The she made one more comment that made my blood boil even more by saying that if it was the 50 some pound dog then she would pay for the surgery because "he is so much bigger" WHAT THE H*LL does that have to do with anything? Thank god as soon as she made that comment my name was called and I left the room, What would you have done? I wanted to cuss, yell, and knock some brains into her but I held back. Sorry so long just really ticks me OFF!

| Thats messed up! I probably woulda asked her if she wanted to give him to me so I could help him. Kinda piss her off. Thats just plain stupidity, and she must not know too much about the breed, if she cares so little. MuffinsMom |

| good example of why there are "yorkie people" and not yorkie people. some folks really make me wonder what happened when brains were being handed out . just because the dog is bigger it's worth having surgery? i'm going to leave this one alone and be thankful i wasnt sitting there with you...otherwise you would have most likely been dragging me out the door as i would have had a major problem with those loonies |

| That lady doesn't deserve having that poor little Yorkie. It is so stupid that she will not consider getting her yorkie the surgery he/she needs cause of her size.Ignorant woman. I really hope that lady think of the poor animal and find a better home for the yorkie. |

| Gosh $100 is cheap for a surgery. I cant believe someone would be so cheap not to pay that to get their dog better.

| I think that woman was probably a "nut case." I doubt she even knew what she was talking about. If you stop and think hard ---can you think of any surgery that costs $100 that would keep a dog from dying?????? I definitely would have asked the woman what was wrong with her dog and what type of surgery did it need? Bet - she couldn't tell you? Can anyone think of a $100 surgery that would save a pet's life????? Costs that much to get their teeth cleaned.. I'd sure like to know what her Yorkie's problem was........ and, yes, I would definitely have paid her $100 for her little dog (or more). Who wouldn't? If if we couldn't keep it, we could easily find a good home for it - better than living with her. Carol Jean |
