| A Yorkie Clip I am interested in..any thoughts? This is a pic I found on the yorkshire terrier club of america's website that i copied for anyone who many have not seen it and so i dont have to try to describe what i'm talking about...i am kind of interested in any of your opinions on this paticular clip for my boy prince who has the thickest, longest coat i've ever had and he's really hard to keep clean, always getting something in his hair, leaves stuck in his hair when he goes out to potty, his coat is growing out of control and i thought this might be a good idea to to try. his belly bands also causes alot more knotting in that paticular area; when i take them off of him, i have to comb and comb. (and he could still keep his elegant topknot and long hair on legs and tail) do you guys like it, or do you think i would be making a mistake? i do not mind grooming him out which i do very freqeuntly, but this would be so easy for me to keep him cleaner and fresher. only thing that worries me is he will get cold. i have tons of sweaters though. what do you all think?? |

| I have a friend who has a Pom, and she's used a similar cut. She called it a 'lion cut'. I thought it was cute. And how could it NOT be cute on your little guy? Worst case, if you don't like it, it will always grow back...

| Oh I think it's cute! It surely would be a lot easier to take care of, but I'm sure that it would be colder in the winter and you probably would have to put a sweater on him if he's outside any length of time...

| I really like the cut. It reminds me somewhat of a schnauzer cut - I have a schnauzer and he is cut like that, sort of - not quite as long on the legs and face, but the principle is the same, short on the back and longer on the face and legs. I love it and I think it is adorable and I was thinking of getting my Rowdy cut like that too. My hubby doesn't want me to let his hair grow so he stays in a puppy cut, about 1" all over - but I was thinking about getting the schnauzer cut for him. Worst that could happen is you don't like it and you let it grow out!!!

| I think it's a darling cut! I clip Maddie similar to that...keeping her face, head and legs long and the body shorter...not quite as short as in the picture though. It is so much easier to keep brushed! |

i can shave one down if needed and i have before. i have 2 nice sets of wahl proff. clippers with diff blades and guards. i just get really nervous using them and my babies think i am the enemy when i do it personally so i'd rather let someone else be the mean ol' enemy in the future | |

| I like the cut. I think the body is a bit too short, i will live it a bit longer; not so shave. I think your little guy will look very cute. |
